  • UPDATE: 1-year review on these knee pads HERE: • Toughbuilt Knee Pads R...
NEW I've just opened a merch shop! If there's anything you'd like to see there in addition to the currently limited lineup, drop a comment on my latest video and let me know! shop.spreadshirt.com/cynicalm... Are these the best kneepads money can buy?!
Hi there fellow contractors, this video is for you. I bought a new set of gel kneepads from Toughbuilt. They offer thigh support, they stay PUT, provide superior protection, and are surprisingly affordable. Basically, this video is a simple unboxing and reveal/try-on so you can see how they work and what they look like. I will take these kneepads through the ringer and see how well they hold up over time, and I'll be sure to keep you updated.
The kneepads seen in the video: amzn.to/3p2XUzV
Toughbuilt drill holster, amzn.to/2KxXNNz , handyman toolbelt set, amzn.to/2XY6K5V , tool pouch, amzn.to/39MEqJq , and much more!

I'm also in flooring, and the toughbuild knee pads are great. I got the smaller version and had the same ones for the past 2yrs and still going strong. will be gettting some new ones soon, and will be looking at getting these ones as a replacement.

Thank you so much for this review! I was leery on buying these, I thought they were a bit gimmick-ish, but as someone who has crashed their motorcycle, and injured their knee, these are going to make quality of life MUCH better for me. (I'm a Trim Carpenter, we're down on our knees more than the $2 Hooker LOL)

The only thing I would say is be careful with them on elevated platforms or small obstacles. Just yesterday I put my knee on my toolbox to reach in and grab something in the van and my knee rolled right over and off of it. It hurt a tad.

I finally got to try these at work and I'll say this..they work great..I don't have to worry that they wobble side to side and they actually help my knees by stabilizing them and actually supporting them 👍👍👍

Best knee pads for hardwood flooring work. Ive been in the biz for over 16yrs. Ive worn through many knee pads. I wear these out in 1 year and buy a new pair every year. Which is great! I also bought their soft rubber front knee pads for stain / delicate surface work. 100% buy them over n over again.

I am late to the party if anyone is still watching this video I am a retired carpet, linoleum, and hardwood installer. Over the years I tried a lot of different knee pads some were okay, and most were terrible. The best pads I have ever used were having a shoe repair shop sew thick leather on the knees of my work pants. I found that leather was all the pad my knees needed. If you find you need a little cushion is leave the top of the leather open and insert some skin-diver foam. The biggest problem with kneepads is the straps cutting off air circulation which can be a whole new problem in itself.

Truly appreciat the review. I have used the Atlas blue with white plastic for the last 25 years, which I can no longer wear due to the straps killing me on the back. I have been looking into these and by you doing this, have helped solidify my choice to go we these. Thank you.

Have you though about trying Toughbuilt GelFit Black Stabilizer Knee Pads? They seem like they’re offer more stabilization which cost you much less energy throughout the day from having to keep balance on your knee pads. That also allow different types of shells to be used in them.

  • @WhiteAngloSaxonMan

As a tiler these were pretty good for 3 or 4 months, but after wearing them every working day the rivets started to pop and they started to fall apart. If you're on your knees most of the day, better to wear Wohlpro's (the most comfortable) or Fento's, especially Fento Max kneepads that disperse your weight throughout your lower leg not just your knees.

I have and they are fantastic. I am 67 with severe knee issues so any work at requiring me to kneel was a big no no. I used to hate how the old knee pads and I am on about a lot due to my age would not stay where they should, kept falling down when you got up to move to another place. Most often they were around my ankles. But these beauties stay where you put them, very comfortable and I feel no discomfort in my knees whilst working or afterwards. Regarding the round knees, I had no issue with that whatsoever. Best kneepads I have ever purchased and I seriously do not think I will ever need a new pair. You will not be disappointed.

They can definitely scratch the floor if you have any dings in the plastic, yes. When I'm installing floor, I work from the bare subfloor side, not on top of what I'm installing. So it was never really an issue. I'd just be careful when I had to put my knees on the new flooring.

Sorry to tell all you people who think these knee pads are the best thing since sliced bread. Especially if you’re a flooring contractor like myself. For the last 25 years I wear nothing else but the knee pads made by Pro Knee. They are $275 for a pair and it takes all the pressure off your knees and transfers it to your shins. You can work in them for 12 hours and your knees will not ever be sore. If you are a flooring contractor these are a must. A $60 pair of knee pads will not compare to the Pro knee pads trust me no knee pads will. If you do any type of flooring for a living except for carpet. Because you cannot kick carpet in them they are simply the best. These cheap ass knee pads he is reviewing are good for a DIY person not for a true flooring contractor. These knee pads will not stop you from getting a sore back or knees like he stated. But I guarantee you the Pro Knee pads will not give you sore knees. You’re back is different story because you’re hunched over all day. So if you do flooring for a living a $275 investment is nothing when it’s for your longevity of installing. Not to mention when they wear out in a year or 2 you can send away for a kit to rebuild them yourself such as the straps the inside padding which is 1 inch thick or 5/8 if you want the thinner one the straps are replaceable. A full rebuild kit cost about $150.00. But that’s nothing when you see how great these pads are.
