love that katevolved is getting really popular after showing in the korean server that he is that good. gotta remember he was a sub for bjergsen, and could have gone pro except he preferred the streaming aspect of league. he was what got me into kat back in 2018 and hes still so out of reach with his mechanics
He does what every streamer should strive to do. Play on the best server with your best character no bullshit smurfing or stomping piss elo players.

8:32 the reason why his flashes always land is because he buffers e flash. The e will instantly connect once he flashes in the dagger range.
for me, that's really insane.
@Martini buffering is when the game allows you to input an action while you are in the middle of another action. As soon as the first one ends, the next input comes out immediately. It is basically like queueing up your next move, but the timing is strict and depends on the character's frame data.
Katarina will walk to get inside E range so you just need to flash to get inside E range faster
@Martini It’s pressing E on enemy before you Flash so the E is instantly prepared & casts smoothly. It’s better demonstrated with video than by description but i assure you it’s no rocket science, still crucial tho
@Martini buffering an ability means to "put an ability on queue" for when it can be cast. in this case, Kat presses E where she wants to go FIRST (so long as she has vision of the target, although the dagger is always clickable), and then flashes, so the E instantly casts when she enters it's range.
it's important to be careful around walls, and sometimes flashing in a straight line from where you want to go is not always the best play. I say this because sometimes, I see players try to execute this trick as it was a single cast, as if it was a huge range E. if you pay attention to the play at 8:35, he goes around the wall before E-flashing.

thank you for doing this video dobby, i watched this game the other day and was like, wtf, how does he make ireliking look low elo?? that level 2 kill was especially crazy, as well as the triple kill in river
One thing I’ve realized is that because these level 2 kills revolve around auto attacks a lot, Kat’s adaptive force and conqueror is likely granting her AD, unless I am mistaken. I’m willing to bet enemies take the MR rune against her as well, which won’t help too much against the level 2 all in with longsword and auto resets.
yeah even before sunderer was the go to mythic you would still start longsword or dblade for the ad adaptive
yep! but you need to start ad because kat's natural start is ap adaptive

He usually goes the standard conq build as shown in the video, or second resolve with boneplating vs burst and second wind against poke (artillery mages etc) and with unflinching against cc, and with overgrowth against less cc. its not that hard, I divide it in a early build and a late build that 2 are the most efficient, however there exist others that could be more "funny" like a bruser build making you tanki xd

Sometimes, he maxes E against Galio, since maxing or updgrade either Q or W will not bring significant damage against Galio in lane compared to maxing E first

One of the best parts of katevolved kat's is he knows the limit of his character to against all matchups
one of the things i think is most impressive about katevolved is that, and he's a really good irelia player too, he NEVER accidentally Qs (irelia) or shunpos twice on accident because he was spamming the key. I don't know how he controls it when there's so much cc in the game, but i find myself all the time like after an irela ult ill accidentally double q someone instead of qing to one person and then another. I don't play that much of either champ but it's still really impressive how his resets are ALWAYS up when he needs them

You see, Katarina is one of those champs that you either 1trick her or you would never play her at the highest potential. No other champ requires such fast movements, maybe only irelia.

That's just showing you how to use your skills to kill enemies..there's the understanding the game,when to go all in, how to becareful,manage waves etc he's more than just a skilled kat. I watch him every stream and he's pure genius. He knows the mechanics of the game, objectives, when to roam and he actually teaches everyone how to play Kat every time which to me is crazy impressive, try talking to people on your twitch chat while focusing on a game at 1k lp games on KR challenger.
He is great at Katarina, he is very smooth and efficent at her. Neutral to his personality. Cool to see NA player performing well on KR. We need more EU and NA to play more at KR/CN server.

Small tips. Never W on yourself to make an anchor or something. Thats the most common beginner mistake.
W always goes along with E. Remember this and Im 100% you will learn way faster

The reason his flashes are so good esp with chasing is bc he e on an enemy then flashes, making his e go off instantly when he flashes into range
Something to mention is Electrocute is a good rune when facing mostly squishy champs, but conqueror is better against bruisers or champs that are harder to kill
Yeah he is using 2 set of runes one with electrocute protobelt set up
he rarely goes electricute now days, it's just bad with all of the new items meta. the divine conq build is probably the best either way especially in low elo because of its build path

they changed her ult a while back which made every tick proc a stack of conq, which made the rune a lot more viable for kat
that and on hit effects just made her stupid good no matter what she went. AD with divine and bork would shred anyone

KatEVOLVED really blew up after his hardstomp against IRELKING.
6:54 it is a key in low elos, People just dont get that a dagger + e can do half of their health but 7:16 is not that good in low elos. You can bait but you burn ur ult and the team wont do anything so you can get any reset.
Summarising, you have to play totally 1v9
That can be applied to any champion in low elo.
The 6:54 thing will get you to gold, no joke. You can also not risk it and do it way earlier than he did, since in low elo if they even just see you backing away from more than half a second they'll assume it's safe.
I'm not a genius but yeah every auto attack resetting skill is really HUGE for early game when autos aren't fast yet, lots of damage really fast,and with katarina it's super fast cuz as soon as she's out of shunpo she's done autoing again, and playing kat for since before (and) after her rework- AND that REALLY really weird time kat jungle just for fun popped up was when I realized Auto e Auto was really important. the thing that makes katarina strong atm is her on hit effects, resets, mobility and aoe damage and and built in grievous wound. she is fine like everyone she get countered easily by hard cc.
Which champion doesn't get countered by hard CC ? Katarina's only counter is brain of player playing her.

@@Larkian not just hard cc. has to be point and click too. A good kat always has her blink up so it's pretty doomed.
A couple of these clips were over analysed. As good as he is...he straight up gets lucky sometimes and doesn't actually thinking about his moves as much as this video implies lol.
As someone else pointed out, the reason his flashes are so good is because of E buffering...what makes it impressive is that he knows exactly how far can go and will almost ALWAYS flash the maximum distance into the maximum E distance...which makes it look like he fucking teleported across the screen.
Anyway, kudos for slowing it down and pointing out his auto attacks. That's something a lot us struggle with, because it feels weird to just auto attack people with Katarina. I think most people's instinct is to Q and immediately E without autoing first. This is something that really sets Evolved apart, he's not afraid to just stand there and smack you in the face without using his abilities.
