- Wrapping up and looking back at the year that once was, let's list down our 10 favorite cars that we drove and reviewed. While we had a lot of exciting reviews last year, we also have a bunch of practical additions that we definitely didn't forget. Really glad to purchase my totga Stargazer last year. It’s really an upgrade from the facelifted Xpander. No hate to Mitsu, but performace and comfort wise, the stargazer wins.
Xp Cross owner here, im really happy on the floaty ride of our xp so now im really curious on the stargazer i like the looks of it especially on red what i only dont like is the way they design the infotainment. Hows the ride and comfort on the scale of 1 - 10?
@ez_v7076 I also own a Stargazer with the captain seats variant and overall the drive is incredibly smooth. It can go 0-60 in 6.5 seconds and the smart mode is really smart, not to mention 23km/L on the highway. My main complaint about it before buying was the giant infotainment wall thingy on the dashboard but after using it alot, it actually doesnt block the windshield at all! Not to mention the amount of safety features it has are unmatched and incredible considering its a 1.4M peso car. Overall I'll give it an 8.5 outta 10.
@@ez_v7076 comfort is 9. The high belt line makes you feel you’re too low, but the wide window makes up for it to make you not feel claustrophobic. It’s really spacious compared to its competitors and A/C is top notch. Ride is 8. It has less bodyrolls compared to xpander. But in terms of bumps, they feel the same.

idk but speaking of wagons, when i drove the City Hatchback, it felt like and looked liked a wagon to me more than a hatchback

Toyota badged Daihatsu vehicles, such as the Rush, Vios and Wigo have been found to be unsafe, since the Japanese Gov't discovered they'd been faking the safety tests and cheating the results, even replacing the airbags with inferior ones that can cause injury if they deploy, since they cheated the crash tests by using timers to set off the airbags, and even swapped them for inferior and cheaper ones during assembly. Pieces of the doors can also come off in a collision and slice into the driver and passenger. Japan has frozen sales of all Daihatsus and removed their license to build & sell cars in Japan, and the executives have admitted cheating the tests and faking results for up to 30 years. Toyota, who sells many Daihatsus with Toyota badges, claims to not have been aware of this happening, even though these same cars are built and assembled in Toyota factories throughout SE Asia, including the Philippines, and Daihatsu is owned by Toyota. Toyota also has been sued over their particle filters for their diesels which fail repeatedly and Toyota was found to have lied to customers about the problem, not to mention being fined tens of millions by the US Gov't for supplying faulty airbags and drive by wire throttles and not doing recalls to fix the issue despite knowing about it, just to save money. Toyota has replaced its "reliability" reputation for one as a dishonest and greedy company who lies to their customers and now has been caught once again cheating on safety tests. No wonder they didn't make this list..

True I believe chinese EVs will dominate the market in 5 years or less but for now it doesnt make sense to buy purely electric vehicles especially while driving to rural places where gas stations are already sparce.
Toyota Innova Diesel vs Hybrid comparison video would be nice
not a surprising list. lots of hyundais. even the gac made it to the list. we have two santa fe, and two sorento. we also have the old and the new gac gs8. these vehicles have no reliability issues as per my ownership. koreans are so far ahead of the competition but their pricing is a tough pill to swallow. but if you do get one, believe me, hyundai/kia diesels are monsters. i still daily drive a 2011 kia sportage 2.0 gas for my dog and it never had any issues. as per Chinese vehicles, our 2023 GAC gs8 is a better drive than our 2021 toyota prado. the difference is night and day. :)
But is it just me, or the 2011 hyundai elantras are no longer on our roads. Parang nawala sila. Even the Tucsons. Pero the CX5s are still on the roads. Even Rav4s nga of the same year di ko na nakikifa

Hi Caco.
For a Filipino with a 1.4M budget, The Stargazer Captain Seat model is the most bang for buck MPV in the market. With a large cargo space, amazing acceleration, incredibly smart features (competing against toyota sense and honda sensing ), great suspension, unique design, and overall fantastic and smooth driving experience for the average Filipino joe. Not to mention Fuel economy, 10km/L in the city and 23km/L on the highway? Bravo Koreans 🎉

No mazda, mitsubishi and nissan?
The nissan terra is the only good car nissan released this year. Mitsubishi has the xpander cross but its not as good as the MPVs in its segment. Mazda is just too expensive and there are better options like the Subaru BRZ for sports and Yaris/Corolla HEVs Cross for Crossovers in terms of value.

The Philippines isn't ready for EVs, Hybrids yes, but EVs, no. The roads here are crap, and all you have to do is scratch the skid plate under the Ionic 5, or 6, by driving over something on the road, and you'll be told to replace the entire battery because the cooling system is the other side of the skid plate, and any damage at all you'll need to replace the battery. The battery costs almost as much as the car, so you might as well throw it away. Try driving an EV on flooded roads, they're not made for that either.
Why are you so mean againt Nyck de Vries? It isn't his fault. They didn't gave him at least 1 year 😢😢😢 but red bull are known that they have changed a lot of drivers. Only Max verstappen make it
