Tamika has the most beautiful voice in the group. Her tone to die for and her vocal control and delivery are perfect! Tiny is the best emoter, has an amazing high middle register belts and growls. Kandi is the masterpiece of their harmony, mastermind of their songwriting, and business brain of the group. Her distinct tone and harmony blending ability is what gives Xscape its distinctive sound.

Back in the day I never saw any of them as the lead. Each one had their own lane and contributed to the whole. Now I will say when you hear Kandi's voice, you immediately know, hey this is an Xscape song, because her voice is so distinctive. So she gives a little uniqueness to the group like a TBoz. But each one can hold their own, imo.

Why are my eyes filled with water with Tamika singing "Understanding?" Tamika did amazing vocals singing this song. I felt her hurt about her situation with her sister LaTocha. The only persons that can bring the sisters together is God and themselves. Xscape: Kandi, Tamika, and Tiny are singing beautifully.

Tamika probably UNDER SANG so her sister would have something to feel good about, but look how THAT turned out. Stroking her & handling her with kid gloves created the Frankenstein she is today. She wants to be a leader and get all that comes with being the Beyoncé of the group, but the set up of Xscape just ain’t so. Usually the lead singer is the break out star but that just wasn’t her story and she can’t get past it. I believe they’re better off without her, she’s dishonest, conniving and can’t be trusted, her energy is toxic and it looks like she’s just like her mother. Also she’s not about celebrating no legacy right now, she still has dreams of a solo career and that’s her priority. Tiny has ALWAYS been my favorite member! She is the underrated member. I have always felt that Tamika was the better singer of the sisters because she has a stronger tone and more control of her vocals and doesn’t do unnecessary vocal acrobats that her sister likes to label as “singing her face off”.
