I'm shocked at the amount of people that are surprised that Tamika can carry her sister's lead. Tamika has always shared leads on some of Xscape's songs. But their voices are so similar that if you didn't see them live or on video you would think it was Tocha. Tocha is definitely missing when it comes to harmony on certain songs. What I'm not missing is Tocha doing excessive riffs and runs lol. Never doubted Tamika's ability nor that as this particular trio they could continue touring. Hopefully the four ladies can work out their differences. Im not sure why people keep saying they should put out new music to prove a point. The R&B scene has changed too much for them as an older group to find tbe same level of success they had in the 90s. Music artists make the bulk of their money from TOURING. You have singers from the 60s and 70s still selling out tours from their OLD music. Making new music for a new generation makes no business sense and would do more to tarnish their brand than anything else and give you hayers and gossips something to feed on. If they put out new music that doesnt become popular, yall would say its because Tocha wasnt on the album. Knowing full well even if Tocha was apart of the album it still wouldn't get the same support that the group got in the 90s. The bag is being gained the way it's supposed to be. By touring with other 90s groups.
SWV, En Vogue and other 90s groups released new music that noone supported. So yall can stop with the bs.
Tocha and her solo aspirations has always been this group's Achilles heel. Sis had 25 years to do solo projects. Im just glad that this time Tamika decided to do what was in her best interest rather than follow her sister back into obscurity
