this episode, short as it was, reminds me of a brief period when I had a minor nervous breakdown in India; stranded on my own and humiliated in public, somehow my mind organized what was happening to place me in a grand scheme of which I was the center of many people's attention and I was raising my importance in this way. Clearly it was a break with reality, thankfully some part of me withstood the disorientation and fear, the assault to my sense of self was so severe I guess I was frantically reconstructing a narrative to build my 'self' up again, and it got out of hand for a few hours. Luckily because I was into meditation and stuff, I could see I was not thinking rationally. After a few hours I got it back together again, and moved on with my life. It took about a day. I hope that never happens again; it seems like this guy goes in and out of that psychotic state of ego-fragmentation quite a lot. Anyway, he's got his parents watching out for him. Very sad. How can people laugh at such emotional distress; I don't understand that.
