I have thick long hair like the lady in your video. My edges are thin in a few spots, not much. I have always been able to cover it with a edge control gel, but I don’t’ see feel comfortable with out it. My issue is.... I’ve been getting gray hair since I was 20 years old, so I dye my hair every few weeks. Can you still take hair from my donor area. Does it matter? Also how long after the consult is completed will I be able to get the procedure. I’m thinking about doing it during the holiday season.

So you can’t swim after you’ve had the procedure? Also can you wear a wig after you get this done too?
Yes, you can wear a wig, hat, or scarf as long as its loose fitting. You just have to wait three days post procedure. 10 days after the hair restoration procedure you can resume normal activities. For the first 2-3 days post-procedure its important to rest, limit motion, and only take a body shower while not touching your scalp. Days 4-10 post-procedure you are able to gently wash the scalp once or twice daily. Sutures will need to be removed by a medical professional between 10-12 days after procedure. If you are outside the local areas of our clinics you may use a primary doctor, urgent care, walk-in-clinic or other medical professional to have the sutures removed.
How did she hide the recipient hair area while waiting for the hair to grow in? Can wigs be worn without ruining the transplanted hairs?
Yes, you can wear a wig, hat, or scarf as long as its loose fitting. You just have to wait three days post procedure.

Donor hair and tissue comes from the back of the head. After removing the tissue the donor area is sutured closed only leaving a paper thin segment. At a half-an-inch hair length our physicians guarantee nobody will see suture line/donor area. With some patients the suture line is virtually undetectable after a few week with others it could take longer to heal/fade.
