    Hello!! you play very nice! congratulations! A couple of questions 1. Are they the sounds of the 725 or samples? 2. How did you record the audio because it does not have L / R outputs or USB recorder, only Headphone Outputs, did you take the Headphone outputs to any interface and DAW? Thank you 🙂

    can i also use a Microsoft surface instead of an Ipad? or can I just use my main pc with an audiointerface to record the piano for example with Fl studios? so i dont need a surface or IPad with app for recording if i can install the app on simple windows 10?

      When Yamaha first launched the "Smart Pianist" app it was only available with Apple. Now, they have made the smart pianist app available for all other app stores so yes, you can use your smart device rather than an iPad.
      You can also hook up a Clavinova to any computer using the connections on the piano :)
      It sounds like you are gearing up to have a really nice music studio! If I can I help with anything else, please feel welcome to reach out to me! - Josh

    How far better is clp725 than kawai kdp110 ?? Cause If there is a great difference between them I will buy clp

      My apologies for the late response! If you haven't made a decision yet, feel welcome to write me and I'll give you a more detailed answer.
      However, in short... Yamaha and Kawai both make wonderful world class digital pianos. It mostly comes down to personal preference to their touch and action. However, Yamaha does have a reputation at this point for more people having preference to their CLP series compared to the KDP series. Also, digital pianos do have a a useful lifespan and the CLP series are more reliable and easier for technicians to work on when an issue come up.

    How do you record the piano sound? Thanks

      Hey Nguyen! I believe when I shot this video I used what are called Diety mics that work well with DSLR cameras. Now I use a direct line signal for Clavinova models and condenser Shure mics for acoustic pianos.
      Thanks for watching! - Josh

      Thanks for replying me. I just wonder does it complicated to set up a direct line signal for the CLP 725?

      @@shanelongpiano470 No it's actually easier to work with, more representing of actual sound of the instrument, and you don't have to worry about the mics (just cables). - Josh

    I’ve played the CLP 725 and it’s nice. I want to compare it to the Kawai CA 39 but there are no Kawai dealers near me. What’s the verdict?

    • @PopplersMusic
      @PopplersMusic  Před 2 lety +3

      Lou, thank you for watching my video! Yamaha and Kawai are both quality manufacturers and make excellent acoustic pianos and digital pianos. There is no doubt Yamaha is a leader in the music industry and in the piano industry specifically. What I would recommend is that you listen to CZcams videos with the best speaker system/headphones you can access. Make your decision based on the sound because both piano brands have nice actions.
      It seems that the debate between Yamaha and Kawai comes down to personal preference being both brands are so reputable.
      Another aspect people don't think of often is that the sound we hear from a piano will affect how we perceive the action. For example, if you take two pianos that had the EXACT same action but two different sounds. That would affect how we perceive the feel of the keys. So, I would recommend you decide on the sound you hear, Yamaha's CFX & Bosendorfer piano samples vs. Kawai's piano sample. Find some CZcams videos that talk about the difference in action and I think you'll be able to make a good decision. Most piano stores should offer some type of return policy as well which should give you time to make sure you made a good decision :)
      I hope this helps, Lou! If you have more questions, please feel welcome to reach out to me! josh@popplersmusic.com | www.popplerspiano.com
