In short, I would be thinking of these items: - What is your preference with new models vs. models that are discontinued? The P-143 is Yamaha's newest model of their entry-level portable digital piano with all 88-keys, weighted, action, quality speakers, and a few features of other instrument sounds/recording etc... - The P-125 is the discontinued version of the P-225. The P-125 is a nice model, don't get me wrong! We have sold many of the P-125s to families and musicians. I also have students who have learned on the P-125. However, the new version of the 125... the 225... does comes with nice upgrades with the sound sample, speakers, action, etc.. We have all of these in-stock and would be honored to work with you. Thank you for watching! This is the replacement for the P-45 so it has many similarities. The new model does have upgrades to the P-45 but it remains that this is Yamaha's most entry-level digital piano with all 88 keys, weighted action, entry piano sample compared to the other models higher up in the series, and flexibility with X-stand vs. furniture stand.

Thanks for watching our videos! I have not played the Kawai K15 in a long time. What I do know is that the B1 is Yamaha's most entry-level acoustic upright piano. It's meant to be a nice starting acoustic upright piano at the most economic price point. In my experience, beginner to intermediate-level players are OK with the B1. Anyone who is upper intermediate to advanced appreciates and needs a higher quality upright piano such as the B3, P22, or U1. I've had customers who wanted to save money buy going with the B1 who were experienced piano players and they ended up trading up to a higher quality model in the series. Lastly, technicians fairly unanimously agree that Yamaha pianos are the easiest to work on and the most reliable pianos. I have added this to our video list and I'll try to get the video shot next week. Plug in a USB, go to your MIDI file folder, bottom left-hand part of the screen click on the icon to show your options, I like to copy my midi files before converting one so I always have the original midi file too, so use the (2) colored in pieces of paper to duplicate the file, then to change one of the files to a .wav file use the arrow with a "squiggly" line to convert the file, the song will need to play through because it is recording the actual nuances of the performance. I wasn't in front of the piano as I typed this (all from memory) so if my directions don't quite line up, feel welcome to reach out to me via email and we'll go from there! Thank you for watching! We do not carry Roland pianos so I'm not as intimately familiar with the nuances of the sound/feel etc... However, here is what I can tell you: - We used to carry Roland digital pianos along with other brands but we decided to focus on Yamaha piano models. We carry the full line of Yamaha pianos and we are proud to do so because we believe they are the best in the industry. That being said, there are other quality brands out there but Yamaha is a leader in the industry without any doubt. I would say, when someone prefers another brand compared to Yamaha, it is a personal preference to a feel or sound, not due to a lack in quality. - Yamaha makes their own line of quality acoustic upright pianos, grand pianos, and premium handmade grand pianos. Each of the digital pianos has nuances and hues that come from their acoustic pianos. Roland does not make acoustic pianos, so they do not have the history that Yamaha does to make their digital piano models as close to an acoustic line as Yamaha does. - I recently had a customer try a Yamaha Clavinova who had purchased a Roland and they ended up selling their Roland because they were disappointed with the model but loved the Yamaha Clavinova. - Our repair technicians have told us that Yamaha Clavinova pianos are easier to work on, Yamaha has better parts for when issues arise down the road, and Clavinovas are more durable than other brands they work on. I will admit that I have an affinity for Yamaha piano models. However, that has been a process where Yamaha has earned our patronage every step of the way! Thats why I will be after one it has a proper line out 1/4 inch jack. To my knowledge nothing else has one.

It actually has two 1/4" headphone jacks, both neatly situated on the left front, under the bass keys. Right where they should be.

Oh mis-read, sorry- yes proper line outs on the back and 2x headphones also 1/4" on the front. Win-win.

@@padrejohnruffle Yes quite right two of them just a bit rusty on it. I think thats why these are used for gigging . Wiring in speakers is straight forwards. Nothing else does this . I didnt know the head phones were also 1/4 inch.

Thank you for watching! Your best chance is to go through your list of styles and experiment. Once you find a style that is similar to the song you're hoping to play... Use the "One Touch Settings" on the right-hand side of the panel and I'm sure that will give you Synth options. Otherwise, you may need to pursue the Synth bank and find the synth you want to use when playing. Finding styles/Instruments can be a bit of trial and error. The one-touch settings at least give you a few options of voices to match each style. - Josh

In our experience, when people are looking at the CX series they end up preferring the C2X and the C3X. So, we do not stock the C1X and therefore I have not had the piano at our store for me to record. If anyone ever special orders it I will get a video :) - Josh

There are many terms for pianos, designs, sizes, etc... What is your definition of a Continental Style Piano? I looked up a few definitions on google and with CHATGPT but I'm still curious what you mean. Your comment in the thread may help others looking to learn about Yamaha's B-Series! Thank you! - Josh
