  • Magic Chef Portable Icemaker Model HNIM27ST, keeps cycling but will not produce ice. Quick way to see if the switch is bad and what you will need to change. Switch Manufacturer Part Number: 66-4011. I purchased the switch on Ebay, it will cost a couple of bucks+ shipping.

Thanks friend! The limit switch was the problem and with your video, I was able to troubleshoot my ice maker issue and resolved my problem. Thanks again!

Would be helpful if it there were a complete demonstration on how to replace the part.

I had been running through trouble shooting for about 2 hours when I read your article. I had already forced both switches but the top 1 wasn't clicking. thanks for the "clicking" reminder.

Hi... Great tips. I took mine apart and the left switch is pretty tight in and I can't test to see if it's clicking. The right one does click. Please help me with next step. What should I do?

Unscrew the 2 little scews and pull it out so it's not resting on anything. Cut the zip tie if you need to pull it out further.

Hi, thanks for the video. I don't understand what your problem was to begin with. With my ice maker, the cup that collects water to make the ice (under the metal freezing "fingers") is not staying in position so that the water will pump and fill into it. Was that your problem, too?
