LV looks great, the moves are boringly animated (ulti should be when Vader stands up in his armor) he rises his damage too slowly but…he is that thick, his moves are ok (lots of dots, irresistible ability block,…) and he is a gl so that enemies need to have a specific counter.. so when you have at least 4 other gls you need him, but if you don’t, for sure he is trash 😅
I have LV, most of the team R5-R7. Ugh.. he’s pretty frustrating. Don’t get me wrong, on offense I can beat any team in the game, although JMK is much harder after the crit damage immunity nurf. But he needs a rework bad. His damage is fine imo, at least by the end of the match, but he needs to be able to ignore taunt and ramp up his ult faster without maul or otherwise he’s gonna be useless without the perfect team moving forward. Way more investment than anything else in the game and no where near the same kind of return as Kenobi
Just unlocked LV this past week. He’s my first GL and I didn’t have super high relics or Maul to fill out the team. LV hardly ramps his damage at all, even after like 4 or 5 AoEs that are supposed to ramp his mastery. LV’s kit is good, his damage just needs to ramp up higher and faster (and start out higher)
Oh and I am still under 4 million GP so Maul is a ways away, despite nearly maxing out conquest, because it was normal mode I got like nothing And the reason I went for LV even though he’s trash is because he’s my favorite Star Wars character and I kept hoping he’d get buffed :(
I've got 11 of the requirements for lord vader. mostly because i wanted bad batch for being a good team. And the rest i either already had or was close on them. Been working on kenobi lately and somewhat working on the remaining pieces for vader here and there/
the only reason I would consider going for LV are his req. you will have to farm up GAS 501st bad batch, nute and padme which are great useable characters but other than that, if you want to use LV you would have to farm up 4 more characters for his team, which is dogshit
This is largely true, with some caveats. First: Maul is strong enough that you probably want him farmed up anyways. Second: If you’ve gone for SEE already, you already have Tarkin at relics, which nearly knocks out a LV req, and you have Royal Guard at relics, which you definitely want for Lord Vader. With Maul and Royal Guard done you only need two more characters which honestly isn’t that bad.
@@1pieveofKH ye, IF you went for see the worst GL as of now and then there is the whole different conversation about 4 R8 + I could get maul in like 2 conquest but I am not gonna since I dont have LV and most people in 4-5 mil GP range (that is where I am) wont have mandalorians to go with maul so its not even worth it.
@@mikycze9177 That's a fair assessment, but a lot of people are in my position too. They've gone for JMK and have Jango and Bo Katan, have been able to get Maul through conquest and have a fair few SEE reqs done already by virtue of having a well rounded roster and playing for so long. At that point going after SEE, Maul, and a few more Mandos before working on LV is practically a no-brainer. I'll never say that going after SEE and LV is a good move for your first two GLs, but a lot of people are past that point and it softens the blow of the requirements significantly. It sucks, but there are some characters that players just shouldn't go after first.
As a Lord Vader owner, no - I have one r8 and the rest between 5 and 7. 5 r9's is ridiculously expensive, and should be absolutely broken for people that have that.
I got LV as my first GL just a couple weeks ago. Honestly, it's nice for me while I'm building other teams. I can't really speak to his ult since I don't have it unlocked, yet. What he does for me is let me beat a lot of the SEE teams I go up against-- even without the ult. (To be clear, I would have gone for JMK or someone else, but I needed BB anyway, and I don't have Wat at 7* because I'm in a casual guild and like it that way)
Yeah the watt requirement for Kenobi is way worse than any LV requirement. If you benifit from being in a guild where others spend money Watt isnt an issue, bit thats not really a ftp perspective.
I regret going for LV and I got maul. I could have done ray and slkr in the same amount of time, and still had a Mandalorian team. I strongly recommend everyone skip LV unless you have all the other GLs
I have LV, he's r9, I have RG at R8, most empire at R7, some R8... m Maul is R9 but I use him mostly outside of LV personally i think the kit of JMK has the high ground over LV, LV's biggest problem for sure is that he does not ignore taunt - -which imo all GL should be able of as force users (so far) and that he really needs at least 2 ults to really get to a good dmg output. His don't sdon't mean much if they are always clansed from e.g. ahsoka now after the bugfix....
I have R7 LV as my 3rd GL. Kinda dumb I know but I was doing bad batch anyways and the other reqs were good even though they’re steep. But yeah he’s just an average GAC defense for me.
I just started this round of GAC and my opponent has 276 banners already just as this round started. The problem is that my Opponent has not even attack me yet! I'm feeling pretty cheated here.
DV under LV culled my slkr like nothing last tw. As a LV owner... No, LV nor DV do not need a buff. Or a nerf. They are part of the chess match of re and gac.
LV has just become the only viable GL to farm for me already have maul, cant get kenobi because of Watt requirement but have Ashoka, bad batch is more of an incentive than the GL itself at this point.
I would absolutely make the argument that LV is more useful without maul than JMK without CAT. I have 3 accounts, on 1 I have LV (i just got maul yesterday but have had no maul for 4 months) and on another I have JMK without CAT. Had him for about 3 months. I've been getting #1 in SA and can beat every GL with LV with JMK cat being a bit RNG because u need that force leap on LV. With JMK I can't beat JMK CAT at all from what ive tried, and I haven't been able to beat LV mauls either though I can't really reach too many to try.
I got LV at around 5 mil GP, second GL. Team with R8 piett LV/R7 vader and RG/R5 maul. The team is solid but I'm wary to put him on defense. The damage is great at the end after he ults a couple of times, but hits like a wet noodle in the begginning of the match (hits for like 7k at times). He needs a way to avoid taunt. Not happy with the amount of investment required and was promised that the scale of how powerful is equal to the investment... yeah nice try CG.
To be fair, Maul is now whaleable as he's available for crystals so it wasn't that long to get him. Of course for those of us who quit for a couple of years and missed the first dozen or so conquests, he's just behind RC and CAT for having to spend 600 crystals per 5 just to be able to get because god forbid they provide literally any other pathway to get them.
He solos the sith raid the easiest. Thats reason enough for me.:P he can solo cls and gas as well. Personally I like that because I think maul with him is too expensive. I think his defense is on par with JML. But slightly better still. Only one none GL counter were as JML and SEE have a few still. And I just watched a skilled player fail against lord Vader when trying to use slkr with watt and sisters. So there is a lord Vader defensive comp trending out there. All in all, you make me laugh, so I hope you keep up the good content. 👍
My LV and Maul are both R9. Maul has 11945 dmg and LV is has 240k protection with 12k damage. Piett has 361 base speed and is r8. and RG is R9 with a combined 220k health and protection with 81% armor. OG Vader is r8 with 280 base speed with 10k dmg and106% potency. Yes he is absolutely amazing with the high relics and is an offensive powerhouse. He autos most JMK cat squads because maul kills GK in his first salvo. He full auto solos slkr fo w/ hux squads, (at most 3 man) JMK without CAT, and every non gl team. However, for the hoarding and resources used to get him where he is isn't worth it, when you could just get JMK. I choose to hoard for LV when they dropped JMK in the RA last April, because he is the villian of my childhood and as an adult i with a family I would have done the same thing without hesitation. I waited 5 years for CG to release my all time favorite character and in return they gave us this gross misjustice of Fallen Anakin. He has no synergy with the 501st which is complete and utter bullshit. I'm gonna stop right here before I have another fucking aneurysm.
Quit the game 7 months ago, came back and im still going for kenobi, have 0 intrest in Lord Failure, cant get maul for a long time, amd even if i get him i will give him to my mandalorians and make a great defensive team
I unlocked him relatively recently, LV is r8 and no ultimate and decent modsI don’t have maul & I can’t beat any other GL. Other than Rey & palp. Assuming RNG is in my favor
It's not hard to figure out! CG knows fanboys will spend to get Lord Vader because of how iconic he is in the movie and lore. So why bother to improve his kit if fans are going to eventually get him? OR maybe it's a trap and a month or two from now characters will be introduced that make LV OP and that's when they'll cash in on the naysayers. You be the judge!
Literally if they just gave darth vaders dot reapply lead over to lv and gave darth vader an inquisitor synergy lead it would solve pretty much everyone's problem
An easy way to help LV would be to allow him to ignore taunts. He basically just diddles himself when the other team has a tank or two.

A simple fix for the darth vader nerf would have been to limit it if he is with a GL and if there is no GP on his team, he could be his old self

My guild officer told me to pick Rey over LV for my 5th GL. You know he is truly low when a 1st generation GL is placed above him by a veteran player
Rey's also easier to farm rn. If you do Rey first bad batch will be accelerated by the time you finish

I have R9 LV, Vader, Maul, and Piett. The nerf is still noticeable to me. Vader and Maul still get taken out easily which is a problem.

I find that he is to reliant on his dots and needs more focus on raw damage.

Lord Vader can only become the gl that rules the galaxy by sucking so much no one wants to go for him. Then , and only then he will be so good.
