Wii U No Power. Could it be this easy to fix?

Purchased a Wii U with no power. Watch the story unfold as I think it is fixed only to be surprised, and turned down another rabbit hole. Finally able to fix this one for FREE

BIGUPS dude! I'm a fixer of sorts too. Pretty helpful video, you aren't teaching a soldering class tho haha, and nor am I. I like how you aren't afraid to dive right in. I have a lot of projects that get backburnered bc I don't quite know how to fix it or it's a difficult issue to tackle. I need to dive in, but it's a balance between being reckless and having courage. I might make a video just showing off my backlogged projects haha. Keep it up! I found your multimeter probing section helpful.

My power socket on my wii u has a cracked enclosure. Thanks to this video I think I can now solder a new one on.

Nice vid! I have two questions. What brand of flux do you use?
Second, what will the fuse read if its bad?

It was cheap flux off Amazon, can't remember the brand, if the fuse is bad it will not read anything, as it will not connect

Wish this video could've helped me. I just had 2 consoles randomly die on me this morning. Like they worked perfect this morning and then now nothing.

Did you keep the CR2032 battery in while testing it?

I wish mine was so simple, no power at all and fuse it's OK, aswell as most of the 5V circuits, but the 15V line is dead in some point and I wasn't able to found why

The fastest way to diagnose that would be to use a thermal camera and see what’s getting hot. Without it, it’s gonna take forever to find.
