    This curb is less then 2KM from my house, and my step dad was the surveyor for this job. Iv started my own concrete business here in Goulburn and found this video 12 years later, such a small world.

      I believe it's for when the ground and curb expands and contracts. That way it doesn't end up just cracking at that one point.

    Why are curbs necessary?

    • @TheKingOfInappropriateComments
      @TheKingOfInappropriateComments Před 8 lety +1

      ***** ok well kerbs then? Aside from wasting money, destroying wheels and ponding water on the roadway what reason could there be?

    • @TheKingOfInappropriateComments
      @TheKingOfInappropriateComments Před 8 lety +1

      +Theflyingbrant I guess so because I don't understand how a six inch kerb is supposed to stop a car from striking a pedestrian. please explain

    • @TheKingOfInappropriateComments
      @TheKingOfInappropriateComments Před 8 lety +1

      ***** but gravel doesn't damage wheels and force people to park in the street and block traffic when they would otherwise park on the grass. Curbs are also more expensive and require more maintenance.

    • @cgmillington
      @cgmillington Před 8 lety +1

      +Roger R.D. Wentworth III there there so the edge of the black top doesn't crack and break away, thus resulting in more pot holes and puddles and more chance of you damaging your wheels

    Вот как нормальные люди дорожные бардюры ставят телегу протянули и малочкой задрочили. А у нас бетон растяни поравняй ещё и бордюры по 100кг растяни и поставь.

  • @skallywag36
    @skallywag36 Před 11 lety

    Should call the machine a "lazy rabbit" as it slowly hops along.
    Trying to figure out the benefit of this vs. say a gomaco? Obviously initial cost but lots of used gomacos out there for cheap. And a gomaco can do it a lot faster. There's a reason the big boys copy the gomaco design (Gomaco "borrows" designs now too so...).

    • @kickboxs77
      @kickboxs77 Před 2 lety

      The start and stop marks are ridiculous, too. Love the nice smooth creamy surface Gomaco’s leave to work with.

    Why doesn’t this crap move continuously? This is crappy workmanship and an equipment with flaws.
