I think it would be much easier to ride the scooter than the bikes. They should been the first to come out than the bikes.
I think the scooters you can just park them anywhere when your time is up, the bikes you have to return them back to either where you got them or to another location that has an empty space. If you don’t I think you get charged for additional time until the bike is returned.

Woohoo another E-Scooter ride! 3:58 Grand Army Plaza is the end of Prospect Park,Its also a good Plaza to have some Breakfast 🥯, 21:16 Track sounds of the subway on the Williamsburg Bridge and nice view also! 33:34 Busy intersection! Its got a pretty nice view of the One Court Square building !

I suspect that the scooter requires constant attention immediately ahead and doesn't allow for much gazing about. The small wheels don't provide as much gyroscope effect as bicycle wheels do, and any mishandling of the steering can dump you on the pavement or into contact with a car.

No. You are referring to mopeds. There is a nyc guide that explains all the terminology and legalities. Sorry don’t have a link.
@@pearlozzy Thanks. I did look it up. Things change over time. To me, these motorized scooters were not 'mopeds', but in this day and age....they 'are' by NYC traffic laws designations, considered limited use vehicles - mopeds or motor scooters. Regardless, they are required to be licensed, the driver needs to be licensed, and mopeds/motor scooters not allowed in bike lanes. So, that answered my question - they're not allowed in the bike lanes as I see all too often on some of these videos.
