I’m a Celts fan but give major props to the Pacers. They are an incredibly tough team with tons of heart.
I'm a Pistons fan and the pacers have an extremely good offense. They really need to upgrade their defense. That is literally the only thing that is stopping them in my opinion

Bulls should get an A+ from a player perspective. Imagine you’re on a team that nobody really cares about, you make a ton of money as a player, you don’t suck too much like the Pistons, no scandals, and you’re not in the spotlight like the playoff teams either. And you’re too hard on Memphis - at least Ja didn’t shoot any of his teammates (yet). This is at least a C.

Chris Paul was actually pretty good sign for the Dubs. We got rid of Poole's awful contract and inconsistency and Paul was pretty much responsible for why the Dubs bench was so good. It was our starting 5 that STUNK. Klay's ego and not being anywhere near what he was before against the rest of the league's best guys (i.e. he's great off the bench against ~lower tier players, nothing against bench players btw, he just can't compete with starters anymore).
And Andrew Wiggins was unproductive ~85% of the time. Not hitting 3's, defense fell off a cliff half the time. And of course... DRAYMOND.
So yeah actually CP was quite good for the team this year given everything else was falling apart. It's just a shame that he's most likely gonna be moved this season because of his contract

Bro honestly give the warriors a D man I mean Klay and Wiggs are ass and Curry got worse but Draymond (aside from the punches) had one of his best years, CP was a big upgrade from Poole and made our bench pretty good, Kuminga had a break out year and the rookies showed up big time. TJD was probs the best second round pick last year and Podz was great despite only being a late first rounder.
Move Wiggs and Klay and develop the young guys as curry gets worse and I guarantee we’re semi-competitive again. That’s not an F.
Idk about the nuggets being in the same tier as the wizards they were one win away from the conference finals and were a top 2 team in the west the entire season

Ima warriors fan but I will say if the Celtics don’t repeat I think the Mavs are up next. There not as well constructed as other teams like okc, wolves or Denver but i think Luka hitting his prime in these next couple of years will make any team he plays in automatic championship contenders like when lebron was younger. He played injured and still made the finals as well as being overweight, it didn’t matter lol. He’s only 25 and it’s scary how good he’s going to be. Ofcourse not only do the Mavs gotta make moves for him but he has to improve on things like loosing weight, more effort on defense, and stop complaining. Those are all fairly easy adjustments honestly.

I truly believe the mavs deserve S tier. They overachieved because some even had the clippers beating them in 6. Luka is only getting better and better each year and the role players are young and haven't reached their peak yet.Kyrie will learn how to deal with crowds better. After this was uploaded, the bulls traded Caruso to your Thunder. So, it has begun...hopefully. I would've liked to see him remain here as a Veteran leader for our young guys.

I think mavs should get S tier, they went 18-20 in the end of the season after the new players meshed with the team. Were the underdog in every single playoff series and made it to the finals, mavs future is bright, and as a lifetime mavs fan, super proud of this team.

If you look at his total season defensive rating he's top 25 in the league this year and #2 at the point guard position. Obviously he can get better but it's nowhere near as bad as people say. Everyone just saw a small and bad sample size in the finals.

The only one of these I disagreed with was New Orleans. They won the most games they'd won since the Chris Paul era. That's gotta deserve a B. Injuries were the only thing that kept them out of the top 5. At one point with just a few weeks left in the season, they were in the 4 seed with the Clippers as their 1st round opponent. I think they win that series based on having homecourt, and based on how those two teams have consistently matched up with Zion available.
Zion playing 60+ games was also huge. And you mentioned the Herb Jones offensive development. For me, those are the two things to be most excited about going forward. Although, if I'm grading their offseason so far it gets an F. Losing Trajan Langdon from the front office and Fred Vinson as a shooting coach are massive blows. I hope Jones's shot doesn't regress without the best shooting coach in the entire NBA on staff.
