I am looking to buy a fanatec because of the power and the Formula 1 wheel. But if they manage to do that but cheaper and console compatible then I might look at moza if that ever happens
Would have been nice to see higher wheel force but it looks like a way better option than a g29
I think that's the whole point. They're not trying to compete with the Logitech DD here, at least for now.

This has made every single belt- and cog-driven wheelbase currently on the market 100% obsolete.
There is no reason to buy one brand new with a 3.9Nm DD wheelbase sitting at $400 USD.
I'm really intrigued by the idea that this ES wheel will make all their other wheelbases Xbox compatible.
Apparently they are likely going to sell it separately at some point, so if you want more power, just hold out for now.
The XBox compatibility chip is located inside the ES XBox wheel, so if that wheel is installed into the R5 or R12, those wheelbase will be XBox compatible as well.
The good news is Moza are planning to release the ES XBox wheel separately, and will release other XBox compatible wheels soon

So, how much does it cost? I'm surprised it's viable for them to make a special wheelbase version just for Xbox users instead of modifying the currently existing R5 & adding Xbox support to it.
My only "criticism" might be the choice of rubber grips over alcantara as that would potentially make the steering wheel more lightweight than even the openwheeler mod. Also the lack of a clutch in pedal sets which has been happening for some time now in other brands as well & not just Moza is annoying but what can you do... at least they give you an ability to add it later if you wish to do so
Alcantara gets matted down and nasty looking from the sweat on your hands. Gloves helps to prevent this to some degree.

Alcantara requires extra care and equipment to keep up. That's not what you want when keeping costs low is the goal.
Moza will release the ES Xbox wheel separately, so put that into the R5 or R12 and plug the SRP Lite pedals into the wheelbase and you'll get yourself a Xbox compatible set
Hi there amstudio, I have seen you making some really good diy stuff that works amazing. I was wondering if you could somehow make wheelloader levers to fs22. In wheelloaders they use levers to lift the hydralics and stuff like that. I cant figure out what to use to track the z rotation on the levers I thought maybe you can come up with a soulution. Not really since the r9 doesn’t have a port for the pedals. The r12 does have that port so you could use this wheel to make the r12 Xbox compatible.
Sadly not the R9, but R5 and R12 can.

No. Moza did not get Playstation licensing from Sony. It costs an arm and a leg and requires a lot of work to integrate into the wheelbase.
It's why there are so few DD wheelbases for under $800 USD compatible with the PS4/PS5.
Wish it was. I would buy one.
Only issue is that console gamers play on TV and couch, no desk! So clamp to coffee table???

It is for a direct drive wheelbase. About as cheap as a bundle will get until well into 2024.

Schade hätte mir mehr davon erwartet aber naja Logitech G27 immer noch besser.
Maybe the pedals on a G27 are better, but in no way the wheelbase & steering wheel are better than this
A 3Nm direct drive wheel isn't as budget friendly as it first seems. Isn't it better to just go with one of the belt driven thrustmaster wheels? Unless you want a moza wheel desperately...
its best you pay 400 for a fanatec dd bundle and then later on buy the 8nm kit thats just my opinion
That's relative. A direct drive is superior and more reliable over time because there is no mechanical grinding. Thrustmaster is still cheaper, though.
Direct drive is a far better experience and it's nearly the same price
@@ryanviertel7059 but is 3Nm enough force to feel sufficiently "realistic"? I feel like 4-5Nm is the minimum for a wheelbase, otherwise the ffb isn't strong enough, or is it just me? 🤔 Also, isn't a belt driven system good enough already? I've always had the idea that gear driven is the worst, followed by belt which feels better and has more ffb than belt driven wheelbases, followed by direct drive wheels which can produce a lot more ffb
I can't speak from experience with a belt driven wheel so I probably shouldn't be talking, but from the many reviews that I've watched DD is far more responsive and detailed than a belt driven wheel, even at an equivalent or lower peak torque. Going from a G29 to a Moza R5 was an absolute revelation for me, not because of the higher forces, but because of the extreme difference in detail and responsiveness.
I can feed my family for a whole year with the cost of this entry level direct drive wheel in my country
Then my friend, you could feed the whole town with a non entry level bundle 😂 sucks to have expensive hobbies
Then sim racing may not be a hobby that you can participate in.
There are a lot of cheaper options out there (Thrustmaster T128 is an even more entry level wheel, but is not direct drive).
How do you have internet access in such a poor third world country?
@@MaXGTS1 Well it ain't that bad. The idea of sim racing is just not popular at all around here. People are mostly content with arcade races or just shooter genre.
Only wheel which is available is Logitech g29. I would say it's quite affordable. But a DD wheel is a different story.

And they dont even have proper wheel support profiles for their flagship racing games, so a complete waste.
