    • @MissKissKreations
      @MissKissKreations  Před 4 lety +1

      Robin Zavodsky Thank you so mc much! If you’re thinking of using you’re heat gun, I don’t think it will be a goo idea. You need to have some type of pressure. Using the heat gun will most likely bubble the vinyl.

    I love this. Thank you so much. I do have Cricut also. Since the update, I have not been able to add new fonts to my Design Space. If you can find a moment, would you be able to do a tutorial on how to upload fonts?

      Jessica Blackwood I will definitely add that to my list. I know since Cricut updated from the web browser to their own platform, adding and searching for fonts has been much harder than before. I lost all my fonts after the update. Cricut does know about these issues and are working to solve them.

      I would use a very think cotton fabric. Or even a shirt. Just make sure the shirt doesn’t have vinyl or print on it. The heat may make the shirt design to transfer on the tumbler or ruin the shirt

    So I am in the market for a cricket or something similar but I'm unsure of what is best. I have heard that you have to change the blade on the cricket after almost every use..is this true? I have also had people recommend the silhouette cameo 4. Any suggestions or comments on the machines?
    I love ur videos and ideas!!

    • @MissKissKreations
      @MissKissKreations  Před 4 lety +2

      CYNTHIA Baldwin I bought my Cricut almost 2 years ago and I have never purchased a new blade. I ball up aluminum foil and gently poke my blade through the foil, this sharpens the blade.
      As for the Silhouette over the Cricut, I did some online research and comparisons and I felt the Cricut fit my needs more. Both machines are great, do some research and find out which may be best for you.

    The first "R" in Forever went bad between peeling the clear and cooling. Is this a typical issue with the heat press vinyl? Can you use a fine stream heat gun to get that vinyl back where it belongs or does this material become more rigid after it cools? I work with other thermal plastic materials and many of them become unworkable after heating and cooling. Just wondered if this material can be reworked or if you have to just peel off and redo that part that went south?

    • @MissKissKreations
      @MissKissKreations  Před 4 lety

      So, while filming, I took a quick break and I set down my tumbler near my hot iron. When I returned to my desk, I grabbed the tumbler and hit the top of the hot iron. 😬
      Doing so messed up the vinyl.

    What would be the reason to use the HTV instead of the adhesive with the epoxy over it?

    • @MissKissKreations
      @MissKissKreations  Před 4 lety +3

      Terri Ferguson Before I started making tumblers, I made shirts. I have an entire tote of HTV. Sometimes if I need a color vinyl, I may not have that color in my 631/651. So, I go through my HTV and use that rather than purchasing more vinyl.

  • @rachealzauche2187
    @rachealzauche2187 Před 4 lety

    I’m curious... Why would you choose HTV over vinyl? What benefits does it serve... is it better than vinyl? It just seems like a lot more to do especially since the epoxy can start to melt or burn...any reason why you would choose HTV instead of vinyl...?

    • @MissKissKreations
      @MissKissKreations  Před 4 lety

      I started doing tshirts befire tumblers. So, I have a huge box of HTV sitting with no purpose. When I don’t have a color of adhesive vinyl, I check to see if I have the color in HTV, if so, I don’t have to more adhesive vinyl.

      HTV comes with its own transfer tape. It’s the plastic that stays on the design after you weed off the excess. I hope this helps.
