  • Over a decade of research is realized in ETC's third generation of the Source Four LED. With two arrays to choose from, you can guarantee better colors from high-quality light with maximum brightness. The Lustr X8 array uses deep red LEDs to create a warmth similar to tungsten. The Daylight HDR array gives you a wide range of tunable white lights from warm to cool. You'll be amazed at how both arrays enhance fabrics, scenery, and most importantly, skin tones.
    Near Field Communication (NFC) configuration and set up is available through the ETC Set Light app. The built-in Multiverse Wireless protocol enables DMX systems to be scaled up without excessive levels of radio energy.
    Pair these fixtures with the XDLT lens tubes and you have one heck of a light cannon from any location in your theatre - even the farthest catwalk or back of house position.

    I remember when I saw my first Source 4, about 98’. Couldn’t believe the difference in brightness. So amazing to see how far all of this tech has come in the last 25 years.

    Now you just have to make source four mini with a mini x8 array

    I understood that S3 is compatible with previous S2 lenses but the new ones are optimized for better output and color rendition.
    The new lenses are also compatible with previous fixtures?

      @jamesuphoff243 Před 3 lety +4

      Yes they are. They should not be used with non-LED fixtures however. They have materials that will not like that much heat!

      @r.christopherstokes5769 Před 3 lety +1

      They are compatible with earlier ERS LED models (Series 2, Series 1, ColorSource, but not S4 HPL due to the additional heat the incandescent makes).

      @@jamesuphoff243 As I understand it though, the shutter barrel will need to be replaced with the XDLT versions? The quick guide states you have to use the legacy shutter barrel if you want legacy lenses on the new fixture, I'm assuming it's the same (need XDLT barrel on Series 3 and Series 2) if you want XDLT lenses?

    • @jamesuphoff243
      @jamesuphoff243 Před 3 lety +1

      @@ians.4284 Yes. XDLT lenses do not use the same shutter barrel as the standard and EDLT lens tubes. You will need to swap the barrel if you are going back and forth between generations of lens tube.

    Что вы со мной делаете, я уже хочу эти игрушки! Интересно их стоимость будет вменяемой, или как у Clay Paky® все новое с ценником который в слух произносить страшно.))))

    I wish you didn't have to jack up the price due to city theatricals patent trolling

    Pros: Great output.
    Cons: Imbalanced, heavier, new menu system seems limited.

    Nobody uses City Theatrical Wirelss DMX 🙄 LUMEN RADIO PLEASE! What a bummer!

      I’d rather just see more theatres add dmx to their lx positions in much the same way that power is already everywhere. No more or at least way less daisy chaining

    • @asilva_media
      @asilva_media Před 2 lety

      use what you want to use ofc, but in my experience wireless dmx is terrible, slow, and unreliable

    • @kokofiProductions
      @kokofiProductions Před rokem +2

      The only reason they did is for RDM, city theatrical has a patent (unfairly) on it. So if anyone wants wireless RDM they have to pay city theatrical. A company that did not develop it.
