Same. I understand why he wanted it to sound more heroic, and it fits perfectly thematically speaking, but I think it’s missing that gothic flare that the other one had. With the BvS theme, it’s like he transformed Gotham into music, but this new theme could fit just about any character. It’s not bad, I just don’t think of Batman when I hear it.
yeah, it was great to hear hints of it in the knightmare and at the end with lex and deathstroke tho. i'd imagine you'd hear it in a deathstroke v batman scenario as batman would get pushed to his limits a bit more

While the BvS one is great, it doesn’t represent THIS Batman. That piece was reflective of Bruce in a much darker place, this one is definitely far more indicative of Bruce’s faith led character arc in this film.
I Agree, I love his Batman Suite for BvS but I do agree with Tom, this suite is representative of this version of Batman, who is in a different state of his career and life and has to be an inspiration of heroism that he was lacking in BvS...but Both are awesome and deserving for the Caped Crusader. Superman and Wonder Woman only have 1 per but Batman has 2 Suites!
I do like this the new, more heroic theme for Batman, but the one from BvS has this amazing larger-than-life gothic vibe about it that was missing in Zimmer's music for the Nolan trilogy.
I love that the only two times we hear the BVS Batman theme are at the end of Deathstroke and Luthor's scene (which was originally setting up the Batfleck movie), and in the Knightmare when Joker specifically mentions Batman's tortured past. Brilliant, sir. Brilliant!

I wasn’t a fan of the undulating vocals... I found it repetitive and slightly annoying. Everything else was fantastic. Especially the flash scene at the end
Yeah definitely the best theme in the whole movie, its loaded with so much power, authenticity & historic depth. Having such a powerful voice in ancient Greek chants style was the best thing wonder woman got! The original theme was quiet exhilarating, but the Amazon theme is so much Grander!
I try to tell people all the time about how your BVS theme was darker to match the darker Batman, then in JL it naturally got more heroic and optimistic much closer to a traditional Batman theme, your music really represents the characters. I love both themes for Batman, you did amazing.
I don't know if you, sir, knows the Grant Morrison's Batman arc in comic books. His concept was to use the whole Batman "experience" and trying to make an evolution and, at the same time, it's own thing. Your work right here remind me that. Great work! Congratulations!

Best bits for me were the opening where you feel the menace coming like never before and flash crazy action sequence. The perfect balance between music and image. Amazing work. The reasoning behind a new theme makes perfect sense but I can't help but miss the BvS Batman track. Still a great one though.

IIRC The BvS version was mostly Hans Zimmer, so that might have a lot to do with why he made a new one for JL.
