okay so I really expected that my next video, at best, would be a Loki character study. At worst? A Loki crack vid. But I've been extremely uninspired to edit anything. I'm just constantly listening to the new album by The Killers instead which is amazing and it's meant that I'm not opening projects a lot lately.
ANYWAY, since Loki ended, we've been watching and rewatching all of Owen Wilson's filmography. I hadn't seen Shanghai Noon or Shanghai Knights since I was a kid and omg YOU GUYS, they're so much better than I remember. Shanghai Noon is genuinely such a comfort film, so so funny and well-made. Owen Wilson and Jackie Chan have phenomenal chemistry, I cannot recommend it enough.
So, my cowboy era seems to have coincided with my Owen Wilson era, and TA-DAAAAH here's the absolute best himbo cowboy. I adore him, Roy is a delight. I had to make something for him. He was such a fun and well-layered character. A cowboy who can't shoot at anything? Who stretches before duels? Who is openly vulnerable to anyone who will listen? I love him so much.
I'm also v tempted to edit something about Roy and Chon's friendship bc I love those boys so so much.
(I have another project that I started a couple of years ago with this song that i was hoping to post this year so if you see me using this absolute bop again, no you didn't)
