Essential Hospitals: Leaders in Health Equity

COVID-19 pulled back the curtain on persistent health disparities. Poverty, food and housing insecurity, low health literacy, and other factors put people of color and other marginalized populations at risk. But for the nation’s essential hospitals, this is nothing new. They see the ill effects of racism and disparities daily among the underrepresented people they serve.
