Mate it is wonderfully refreshing to see reviews done of economy class. Most channels that cover airlines travel give us first class porn and many of us will never fly even once in our lifetimes. Practicality over fantasy.

Queenstown is just a spectacular city that sits right on a lake with some of the most incredible views! Words can’t describe how stunning Queenstown is. Having been to Auckland for many years, and the only city in NZ I’ve been to until I went to Wellington in 2022, you can just immediately tell the difference between Auckland and Wellington. Everyone says that, “Auckland isn’t the real New Zealand”. I hope I get to visit Queenstown during Christmas. Jayden, make sure to do some filming around Queenstown and include the clips in your trip reports!!

3:10 I love the uniform. Very stylish. I flew CI Trans-Tasman in premium and it was excellent. Crew from outside Asia could learn a lot from CI crew about what good service means.
A few days ago, my friend flew CI Brissy to Auckland too. Can't wait to hear about his opinions. I will be joining him in Queenstown next week :)

Between Taipei and Australia, the main operator is China airlines and using their A350-900. Eva air only operate the Brisbane route.
yep China Airlines has much greater presence in Australia.
Even though there's a non-stop flights with JAL and QF from MEL, I love flying CI as their pricing is quite competitive going to Japan!

Love Taiwan, would definitely live there if I was younger. Highlight of the trip must have been the incredibly random voucher for wonton soup especially as this item is so difficult to find in HK

Hi,im a 9 year old who went transfer from Vancouver international (YVR) To Taipei then Ho Chi Minh city it might seem crazy that I can type with grammar,is true tho I never been a lounge before so 1:48 is what it’s like.
As with others, I need me some of that Wanton soup! CI looks very solid for the price - but that box of sultanas will either be homey or triggering for decades of people who grew up in Australia!

Weird that you didnt have onboard cameras i flew the exact same plane airbus a350 900 with china southern and we did have external camera options .
In addition to the return of Cathay Pacific to Adelaide, there are heaps of South Australians that would love for Qantas to resume international flights from Adelaide Airport.

Hi John! Thanks for watching! I was able to select those seats free of charge. Only towards the back of the plane was free though. Forward rows would become free during check-in at the desk

I normally fly Qatar / Ba. Thought give Air China a go and their flight times suit me. I would rather pay for window seats and not have a seat in the middle row. Ha ha.

Well done, Jayden and which airline A350-900s are your favourites CI🇹🇼 CX🇭🇰 SQ DL🇺🇲 need to try PR🇵🇭. For me I would actually put the Philippine Airlines A350-900 below the CI🇹🇼CX🇭🇰 DL🇺🇲 and SQ A350-900s due to them being power plug equipped in all classes of travel unlike Philippine Airlines which has Mabuhay Class power plugs but fiesta class (economy) passengers are left with USB plugs.
Probably CI. All don't have double seat back padding, CX A350-1000 have them though. CI legroom is the best of all. Delta I only did premium Economy.
Curious whether Australians would consider transiting in Taiwan or fly direct on Jetstar? How do the fares stack up?
About 20% on my flight were transit pax :) mostly Aussies and South East Asians

Jayden Do you know what the current requirements are to enter Taiwan with COVID? Is it still a week at home isolation I’m confused by the wording
I was there in March 2023 for five days. Mandatory quarantine had already been scraped months before that, replaced by "a 7-day period of self-initiated prevention", which is not isolation. No questions or checks about COVID status were made at check-in, upon arrival or checking in at the hotel in TPE.
basically no requirements but look after yourself & watch out for symptoms haha

China Airlines overstaffs their aircraft. I was recently behind the security line of their A330 crew. They had enough staff to crew B777 or A380 by other airlines. I was also on their A321neo on a regional hop and they had enough crew for a normal A330. I guess there are a lot of younger unemployed or underemployed people in Taiwan so they can hire a lot of crew members and still turn a profit.
may I ask how many on their A321? My CX yesterday had 5, just wondering haha thanks!
Good point and if they hire Filipino crews provided they used to work for TPE-MNL competitor PR they will see CI and PR common Aeroplanes A330-300 A350-900 A321neo and B777-300/ER better than what they used to work in PR versions. Same way as a former PR Crew now working with CX with their versions of A330-300 A350-900 B777-300/ER and A321neo better than PR. The way I see this is CI 🇹🇼=CX 🇭🇰> PR🇵🇭. Factor in Skyteam Alliance trans-pacific routing CI🇹🇼 = KE🇰🇷 > PR🇵🇭 towards MNL. My mother should have done CI JFK-TPE-KIX and then used Skypass from Korean Air on CI flight rather than via MNL PR🇵🇭.

Melbourne to HKG via Taipei, Cathay is $1500 vs CI $900.
I was going to HKG and had time to spare so I chose CI haha

In Hong Kong it's still about half-half (local westerners included). In mainland China about 80% still wearing masks last week.
