Sometimes happened in smaller tournaments or like weeklys or something but yeah this was odd
Classic stopped going for the science victory and instead decided to just fucking kill his opponents
That series was just rude frankly.
Zest is like an apex predator removed from the environment so long that the other players forgot how dangerous his Adept timings were

OMG this is the happiest watching a game of SC2 has ever made me. I was laughing out loud the entire stream watching those zerg boys running in circles. Forget Nightmare and Maxpax. Classic is now my new favorite protoss.
The PvZ masterclass right here. Not even needing recall against Solar, but knowing he has a plan if the Z response is a little better; adding stasis and forcefield to compound the issue and tie off the opener. *chefs kiss*

There are too many commercials on Twitch. GDQ puts commercials every 10 minutes. Unless you are suber then Twitch is unwatchable.

@@odetoazam it was around the time where twitch prime didnt mean ad free and I'd have to pay per streamer to go ad free, but I looked recently they have an ad free plan again so maybe I'll look again but haven't been interested
I'd say that Dark's main mistake in the second game was feeding too many zerglings to adepts in the early game. There were a couple of small ling counter attacks that just ran into a wall of adepts and immediately died for nothing. Usually that wouldn't matter much but losing two dozen lings right before you get hit in the face with an adept timing really compounded the damage
Edit: Specifically around 17:10 on the video you can see around 20 zerglings wandering into the main protoss army and dying right before the big attack. I wouldn't go far as to say that that cost him the game as he was already behind but that probably sealed the deal.
spamming zerglings for defense to get 70 + drones in 5 seconds didn't work this time. It forces roaches which are then countered by sentry/immortal.
A hard counter right from the get go.

That's because spamming ligs and drones always works out for him vs protoss, since they tend to overbuild stalkers. Well, not this time.
@@WolfgangGaming-xq5rm nah, roaches would work. Dark just needed to scout it sooner and recognize it. Dark didnt. He also didnt take it seriously when he knew he didnt have enough units. He shoulda kept the wall up. He got greedy

I've wathed this vid 3 times now. It's just amazing to watch Dark get pulled apart so comprehensively, especially coming after his victory over Maru. Hard to believe!

It wasn't only his strategy, Classic was playing at absolute top-tier level. Masterful control, timing, responses, and execution across the board. I've seen him play so horribly, I wonder how he makes it into the GSL. This was not that.

always wondered why Protoss didn't use more glaive adepts, since they start doing decent damage against non-lights and their shade ability forces the enemy to split

@7:23 I've watched hours and hours and hours of these casts of all these fantastic pros, used to watch tons of Day9 and still watch You and Lowko every day, and I've never, (not ONCE) ever noticed an overseer activating "Oversight" before. What the hell is wrong with me I went on a 5 minute tangent of WTF IS THAT WTF WAS THAT just now.
