British music icon Sir Cliff Richard attends his first (American) Football game at ASU

- The legendary British musician, 72, with over 300 million in worldwide record sales was in attendance for ASU's dramatic victory over Wisconsin, the first time he has attended a football game in the US. About to release his 100th album, Sir Cliff had his first hit in 1959 and is best known in the United States for his record Devil Woman.

I'm an American and believe me, I know who Cliff Richard is and I've known for years. He did have commercial success here in the late 1970's and early 1980's. Why he wasn't bigger than he was is beyond my comprehension. Maybe he just couldn't compete with Elvis and the Beatles who dominated the landscape for so long. But yeah, "Living Doll", "Lucky Lips" and "Summer Holiday" are great songs.

He wasn't as succesful in the USA because he refused to spend MONTHS touring there continuously.

Cliff has long been one of the nicest people in the music industry. And now has a home in New York City. Amazing career since 1958.
