That is the most Phallic rocket ever constructed!
It's been the main joke of spacex design for a while now
No better design than natures own!

I'm really glad they got a high school student to narrate this as part of his science project. He did a great job!
Is this a joke we went to the moon, Russian are sending our guys to the space station really we cant do anything in this country now.

They could get better thrust if they attached two fuel spheres to the base of the shaft. 🤔
hehehehehe
This is a great idea…probably just a couple of small ones would suffice for these riders !.
umm .. get your cold shower on!
Dr Evils first choice of transportation
I think the term "crew" is giving them too much credit. They are "cargo", or more delicately stated, "passengers'"
It's an adult amusement park ride, nothing more. The riders have zero input, they just sit and enjoy their ride as Bezos counts their money. Haven't you noticed Bezos uncanny resemblance to the Six Flags guy, Mr. Six?
Yup.
Rich passengers.
Rich passengers. Privilege few
More accurately called "sitting ducks"
I'm a SpaceX fan but I'm glad that they had a successful and safe flight. It must have been thrilling. Greetings from Arizona
Competition is a good thing.
@@mikegLXIVMM Certainly is, but I wouldn't classify Blue Origin as a competitor to SpaceX
Dude, they're doing this so often, it goes unnoticed.

They sounded so scared lmao,
how is that profound? wealthy white people are so cringe

Just the most costly roller coaster ever.
Congratulations to everyone involved with this endeavor.
Yes such an important launch!
NASA has kids doing the commentary now. I think these must be a high school internship programs. They are a little goofy and not very knowledgable, but it's nice to see kids involved.
elevator?
Glorified amusement park ride. I’ll pay attention to them when and if they ever put a ship in orbit. Until then it’s an amusement park ride for the very rich.
Couldn’t agree more. I like it though, when prices is ok, it’s a light version of experience space for regular people. But the ones comparing blue origin to SpaceX need a haircut. 🤩🤣

@@mostlysanetrader Uh, ok?
My thoughts exactly.
It's funny how he stresses that "2000 mph" like it's s big thing. Everyone else that flies to space does at least 17000 mph
That's bcoz they didn't go to space or speeds would be more real. Lmfao, you do know suborbit means below orbit right and not space? Right!?
The ISS is 254 miles above the Earth so it can go 17,000 mph because there is not enough air to slow it down. This rocket only went to like 50 miles above the Earth which technically isn’t even space yet. The fact that we’ve engineered rockets with enough power to reach these speeds is actually a big thing.
It's not because the ISS is 250 miles above earth. about 17500 mph is the escape velocity. that's the minimum a rocket needs to escape the pull earth exerts on it. so i guess blue origin will just keep on dreaming about going to space while the competitors are actually doing it
So, no one else wonders why you never saw a shot of the crew inside the capsule?
No. Why do I need to see them?
@@pbkayakyer well I mean usually a manned mission like this they show you the crew
@@ryannutton1704 well, these are private citizens and they probably make a lot more money than any other astronauts. If I had that kind of money, I wouldn't want everyone knowing who I was.
Private citizens paid for this experience. It’s not required to show their face. But it is now about three months since launch and now we know why, a member of dude perfect was a part of the passengers and filmed the whole thing.
If I was designing a rocket, I probably wouldn't take pains to make it look exactly like a dildo.
Well fine... but then don't ask to borrow someone else's.

Totally not a con-job.

Good thing Blue Origin is using low level interns as test pilots/survivors/guests to test out the capsule. "We Are Not Going To Die!" is their motto.
Another successful launch of Phallus One! 😜
The term Astronaut should be limited to space explorers and scientists, everyone else should be a space tourists...IMO.
I guess if you take a cruise you arent automatically a sailor
You can only become an Astronaut based on Merit and not on Money.
Agreed.

orbital flight should only be reserved for those conducting science and furthering humanity's grater knowledge. not millionaires etc.. you all can go back to your private jets and boats and stay out of space
That's so cute! What an adorable little rocket 🤣🤣🤣
I gotta say, hearing a rockets roar no matter who makes it feels fkn amazing💪
I don’t think being able to afford a seat makes you an astronaut. If so I am a fighter pilot because I have flown in a commercial airliner.
As much as i dislike this glorified amusement ride that's not how it works my dude.
I believe that is Coby Cotton of Dude Perfect we hear yelling all the headlines from inside the crew capsule! I’m sure we’ll be seeing video from inside the capsule on their channel in the next couple months 👍
He was scared he said sweatting perfusion
I wouldn't exactly say they "nailed" the landing. It almost missed the pad completely and then was barely inside the circle. Not a "bad" landing - but not "nailed".
Any landing that doesn't end in destruction, is a good landing.
that's literally called nailing the landing dude.
their percentage for error allowed for all of that, which means they nailed it.
You could tell that it was fighting a side wind and did a good job of that while landing.
the landing algorithm probably tries to minimize the amount of maneuvering it needs to do while still landing inside the circle.
Public interest in this has dropped faster than a rocket reentering the Earth's atmosphere.
I wish these guys would get together and built the ultimate space tourism company… on the moon!
Perhaps they could buy SpaceX Starships to do so. BE has delivered one, and only one, flight-ready BE-4 engines to its customer, and has built only a handful of test articles. SpaceX has built well over 120 Raptors, many in the V.2.0 configuration, and has flown more than dozen.
Radiation will prevent any humans from going further than 1-3 hundred miles from Earth
Lmfao 🤣
Although I would rather be in orbit, I wouldn't turn this down given the opportunity.
Fantastic engineering
I'm amazed at the accuracy of the booster landing. Congratulations!
"yeah... we're not going to die"... Looks like quite a spectacular ride though. Congrats on another successful mission.
i'm sorry, but i cant take blue origin seriously, with that rocket, it just reminds me of what's hiding in my pants LOL.
Wow just amazing, That beautiful landing was worth some tears
Absolutely fantastic.
speed: mph
altitude: feet
Blue Origin is programming with this unit
Amazing. But why video and audio quality is so bad in space? How about showing a recording of the POV of the crew cabin?
Blue Origin could also make a bulk size capcel 50 to 75 feet wide high dome version, one with greater VIP recreation or economical quantity tickets of greater passengers and a re-entery heat shield for lower or above the mesospher altitude level render. By just having adjacent 2-stage separation, of 4 to 5+ Shepards side mounted on a bigger bell shape living cargo stage vessel dome.
Blue Origin.. Mastering the art of the sub orbital.
and literally getting nowhere XD at this point shepard has become a sounding rocket
"Were above the earth". This guy is up for a Nobel.
This is too Stupid Blue goes up for 30 sec Spaced X put you up for 3 days Really we have to comment on this crap LOL
At 7.15 the booster is coming in off the pad, and makes a huge correction to place itself in a dignified manner. Was this an input from ground control, or was the onboard system the badass?
I'm always surprised at how off-center the landing is, especially for a booster that goes straight up and comes straight back down. SpaceX frequently hits dead center of a barge bobbing in the ocean with a craft that went to LEO, and is significantly larger than Blue Origin.
This is not a space ship. It's a ride 👍
love the 14 mph landing, try that in a car going horizontal, now do it vertically and tell me how your spine feels
It’s not going 14 MPH when it actually touches down, more like 2 MPH. The capsule has small engines/rockets that go off right before touch down to slow it down. That is the source of the clouds of dirt you see, those don’t come from the impact.
Safe travels to every one of you to and from space.
Truly awesome
The shape is a must or just for fun?
Awesome ! Guys funny as hell …. Love it …. You should do more of these ….& I can’t believe people can’t make the connection of what’s really happening with the whole video !

It's amazing that with the old rocket technology it came to so much!
Yea... I agree with your sarcasm. We went from exploring, to.... a group of rich jerkoffs just screwing around.
So if its slowing down ? How could it have still been climbing ???? Its a heavy piece right?
Not a nailed landing! Had to steer it manually to to the pad with extra juice as it missed the mark completely. Look at the burn mark just to keep it from crashing down!
We're not going to die! Best quote of the year.
Welcome back to the race !!
DP IN SPACE
WELL DONE COBY
So was the first part of the vid computer generated? There was a shot that looked like it was taken from a drone as the rocket flies past and the camera is following and it picks up and beautiful blue sky briefly as the rocket is heading upwards, then the next camera is on the ground which looks real and the sky is a much different colour. Just wondering cause these days it’s hard to tell if your looking at live footage or someone on a computer bullshiting generated images
Great job team Blue Origin.
The one minute warning should be enough time to create the 55 mile high club.
Is there images of interior of crew capsule
Amazing and wonderful !!!
And in such a way soon also on planets of Alpha Centauri, yes? Or are this already shots from there?
Amazing.. nailed it
Does it come with batteries?
This rocket Looks like something that can penetrate the atmosphere
Do you realize the pallusies of your statement? 😜
"Woooo! We're not gonna die!" lol 😆
Nails landings?
Did they bounce and have to land more than once?
Can people (me) be a spectator and how do we find the schedule?
Are there any photos of this crew licking the windows??
It appears that up to a point there was an expectation, by one of the passengers at least, that they WERE going to die.
lmao the entire flight they're laughing at him
@@A_piece_of_broccoli Yeah, they should sue him for another flight they can enjoy.

SpaceX landing them on a small ship, and in the middle, looking at the general landing they still have some things to work out, really rough
We called it an E-ticket ride because it cost a bit more for the best ride at the park. It's wonderful technology. This is just the beginning. Negative waves get you nowhere.
Is there a reason this is all this rocket does? Just curious.
Thank you! It's good to start off the day with a hearty laugh.
Can't wait until New Pen... sorry... Newd Glenn is capable of docking to the new Vaginos 2 orbital station, providing of course they can learn to keep it up that long.
all that technology and not a single live camera shot from inside the capsule!!!
How about giving the customers some privacy?
You actually wanted to see terrified expressions?
This kinda reminds me of THE BIG SHOT ride on top of the Stratosphere Tower here in Vegas but on a slightly larger scale.
Cool stuff
More like ‘human cargo’ than astronauts.
Amazing...
Are they actually a crew or are they just passengers?
I come to find that it's weird that they never have an on board camera facing tward space you only see just the ones only facing earth. But I'm taking a good guessing maybe cuz of the sun being bright that there no point of have a camera facing space on take flight. Any ideas ppl?
If you have sun in shot then its overexposed, if you aim at space it will be pitch black or just some generic stars you can observe from earth. So no real point to actually point it up.

WOw great camera work ...So I guess these launches are becoming so common place that you no longer see them on the news ..
Yep. This is like their 6th or 7th manned launch.
Nice fair attraction.
anyone know what those lights in the sky are at 10:16?
Glare on the camera lens.
Call me when Blue Origin builds a orbital rocket, this is just a rocket powered amusement park ride. Also, any news on those BE-4 deliveries?
this reminds me of walking past 'Worm's' dorm room in Johnson Hall in 1974 at Kent State - and hearing 'strange music' and smelling smoke - those folks in the capsule - Worm's party in his dorm room!
Nails landings? Ok the booster landing looked pretty cool but i dont think they fully planned the capsule landing. What, they forgot theyre not landing in the ocean? I hope the crew is okay that was a rough.
How much to ride the BLUE PHALLUS?
Dude said welcome home like they went somewhere 😂😂.
Someday space mission will be like a trip to Disney for people.
Nice landing, a proper rocket landing as every Dan Dare fan knows this is how a rocket lands
Ummm this was about a tenth as clean as any recent Falcon 9 landing by SpaceX.. they can literally hit the target within a few feet on the drone landing ship.
Are these tests or paying customers?
Three questions:
1. Why does it have such a blunt nose, if it goes supersonic?
2. Why does it need to go supersonic? In fact why does it need to go fast at all, seeing as it's only basically going straight up?
3. I wonder if they're working on leaving the capsule attached to the booster for the landing, so just having a powered landing without the parachutes? Surely that would be the way to go?
The ability to (for example) escape the earth is down to velocity and not like climbing stairs. You need to read up on the science.
@@patrickpowers5995 But no-one's saying anything about escaping the Earth's gravity. Yes, for that you need escape velocity, but not in this case.
BTW, no need for the patronising thanks🙄
Not 100% sure but if I had to take a guess I would say it is because the thrust to weight ratio changes throughout the flight. At take off it's just a bit over 1.1-1.4 or so, but as fuel is consumed the rocket begins to weigh less and so it begins to accelerate more. While the engines can throttle they likely can't go below around 50% so eventually as you go through fuel you will start to go very fast. Only way to counter this is to have a different engine for higher up, but that would add weight which is undesirable.
Think of it like this. Let's say they decided to go real slow, just a little faster up than hovering. They would quickly run out of fuel and not be too high above the ground.
Great
How much did each person pay for that ride?
