Looks like they're keeping the Legends Arceus changes for statuses like sleep = drowsy. You could see in the Tera raid section that pokemon had the drowsy icon but were still being able to attack.

This trailer lowered my opinion of the game. The open world looks awful, the gameplay is neither normal Pokémon nor Legenda Arceus, this looks like a bad new “Let’s Go” series game instead of the ultimate blend of Sword and Shield and Legends Arceus. Instead it looks like all the children features of Let’s Go and the bad dynamax raids of Sword and Shield.

Quaxly's already been confirmed to be pure water but maybe the mid stage will be part flying and the final evo will be a different type. Although starters do get moves that don't match their final types early on all the time, like, for example, Litten learns lick, a ghost type move, at level 6, while Incineroar is a dark type; and Turtwig starts with withdraw, a water type move.

I mean having a flying type move doesn’t guarantee that it won’t be ghost, my main example being Rowlet. It’s flying for the first two evos and then it switches to ghost for Decidueye (don’t take this as a ‘well actually’ moment, it’s just a point I wanted to make to play devils advocate)
