I'm a Registered Dietitian, Certified Trichologist & Licensed Natural Hairstylist in Tennessee. I created this small, but very functional salon space in my hair nutrition clinic to shampoo clients before performing hair & scalp treatments.
Thank you so much for this video, I am a new cosmetology student, haven't graduated yet, but I know after graduation I will be doing hair services out of my home.
Wow! This video is such a great resource for us stylists who are in an office suite...thanks sis 😊❤
Oh yeah, and they should sponsor you 😁
You’re so welcome 🤗 it’s definitely been worth the investment!
Love this! Thank you for sharing!
You are so welcome! Thanks for watching :)
Thank you for sharing. This was very helpful for me.
So happy to hear that! 🤗
Thank you so much for sharing your video. Congratulations on your new salon. I ordered the sink yesterday. I am so excited! I spoke with customer service at sink depot and the representative told me it will be delivered fully assembled. That's great! I don't have to put anything together or hire a handyman to assemble the shampoo sink. Your review helped me make a decision to purchase the sink. It's expensive. However, I'm sure it would cost much more to have plumbing run into the room I plan to put the shampoo sink in. I'm going to talk with a plumber just to compare the cost of what he would need to do and the cost to run plumbing into the room.
Yay! Thanks for sharing!! I’ve officially had my sink for 1 year and I’m still loving it.
I would recommend getting an extra clean & waste bin. I keep them behind my bowl this way if I am running low, I can easily switch out while my client is deep conditioning or under the steamer etc.
Thank you! 🎉
Thanks you do much for this review!!!❤
Yw! Glad it was helpful!!
Very Helpful, thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for sharing! New supporter here!✌🏾
You’re welcome! Glad to have you here :)
Thank you so much for sharing. The product (portable shampoo sink) is perfect except the noise, shame it makes that motorized engine noise, I hope they improve it by removing the engine noise.
You’re welcome! I’m glad it was helpful! Lol I understand. I usually warn my clients beforehand, after that they don’t really have an issue!
@@yourhairnutritionist I really appreciate you showing how you set it up in an office space also as I'm currently looking for a suitable space to set up. If you wouldn't mind could you provide the contact details of the supplier and if the noise impacts at all on the other offices in the building you're in?
You’re welcome! All of the supplier info is in the description box :) also, the noise doesn’t seem to bother my office mates. It’s located in a room that doesn’t share a wall with anyone else if that makes sense.
Hi! For the portable hair sink. When it’s full. How many minutes do you get out of it before it runs out?
Hi! Thanks for watching :) I can usually get a 10 - 12ish minute shampoo service in with one full tank.
it usually doesn't take me this long b/c I work with hair loss patients, so I can usually get in two sessions with one full tank.
@@yourhairnutritionist thanks for replying back! Appreciate you! Also once the water runs out- when you switch to the new fresh water jug, does it instantly have hot water? Is there a wait time to warm it up?
How do you rate the noise/vibration level on that pump? I’m in an upstairs unit and worry about the humming that might be heard downstairs. Thanks for your review of this bowl!
On a scale of 1-10, id say the vibration is more intense like a 6, than the sound like a 5. I’m sure you could use some time of circulation around it to make it less though.
Hi & Thank you for sharing! I’m currently in cosmo school looking to become a trichologist but can’t find any information on where to go to be certified. Do you mind sharing how you became one?
Congratulations on almost being done when school! I studied through the World Trichology Society!
Does the motor always run so I have to unplug everytime ?
Nope! The motor turns off with the water is turned off. I rarely unplug my unit.
where is your scrub from i love it and need it
@@iamthebot99 thank you! I think it’s Cherokee infinity brand!
I am selling my portable sink, it is working perfectly, I just return to my home country, and unfortunately I won't be able to take it with me. I bought it 4 months ago and it was only used 2 or 3 times. I am in Canada
Wish you were in the US
Can I ask, how is the noise level ? I will be in a office space as well but the building is very Quiet so I’m nervous 😩
Honestly it’s not bad. It doesn’t seem to bother my clients.
& my unit is on an outside wall so it’s not heard outside of my office. I would say if you were sharing a thin wall with another tenant.. then they might hear it as they would any type of motor. But otherwise, I wouldn’t worry about the noise!
How would you (or anyone that can speak on it) rate it for people with locs/dreadlocs? Thanks!
@@Studio25-tm3hs I have a couple of clients with locks and I use it just the same. I like to have both tanks filled regardless of the clients just in case I need to switch it out. But I usually don’t have to do that.
Hi! I'm in TN. Where in TN are you?
Hey! I’m in Memphis!
Where did you get the portable shampoo bowl?
All the info is linked in my bio
You didn't add the links properly
Sorry about that! Updated now :)

I purchased this sink spent about $2700 and I have had nothing but problems since.
My whole entire salon floor was full of water after my weekend ended
Ruining my wood floor boards and Inter the sink
That is just the last thing that happened I have already had to get a replacement water heater.
This has been a nightmare working with this company.
Oh wow! That’s very unfortunate that’s been your experience with this bowl. When I first installed it, I had a similar issue - but then realized I hadn’t tightened the hoses all the way! I hope you’re able to get things worked out with the company. 🫶
I don’t like that noise.
