Coverd by snow, lost by the night. Followed by the light. The woods seem awfully peaceful yet scary at the same time. The stars dance in the sky. Thats what i hear from this song.

The images this aroused in my mind: an armored hulk (my Warforged character) standing by the window of his inn room on one of those long cold nights mentioned in the title. He is staring fixedly at a shiny brass locket in his hand, where a pen and ink portrait of him and Sister Audra, the young cleric and healer who first treated him as more than a walking weapon and a killer, is encased. Every now and again he lifts his hooded head to stare up at the clear, moonlit sky and pangs of regret assail him as her death replays itself in his mind (yet) again and the refrain of "WHY COULDN'T I SAVE HER," crosses his mind (yet) again. If there is a grave for his kind, he will take his love for her there, for certain, he thinks morosely as he flips it shut and turns to face the walls of his room. Since sleep cannot take him away like it does for humans, it will be another especially long night for him, the way it is when these unwelcome memories plague and haunt his mind.

@@SomniumMusic you have any references videos that help you learn or did you go to school? I need to learn anyway I plan to start narrating my stories and already like to audio engineer so I’m not against the ideal. I’m just not sure where to start 😅.

Is there anyway we can get the extended edits that you use in some of your narrations? Either in here or Spotify but some of them just hit so deep. Nice atmospheric tune. I like the instrumentation and dynamics, but I would make some changes to the drums personally. Just a matter of preference. I have no practical qualms with it. I think I would soften the kick, mostly to fit the mood. It’s a very good track, man.
