My name is Josh Fedorka, and I’m the founder of Training Hands Academy™. I have been a carpenter and woodworker for over 25 years. I have also held certifications in home energy auditing and have built several LEED certified homes in New England.
God has gifted me with many “hands on” skills and it is my calling and purpose to share those skills by teaching others. Whether it is to seek a career in carpentry, become a general contractor or improve one’s DIY skills and knowledge, the motivation behind THA is to help others successfully learn how to work with their hands.
Nice, I need a router to finish my loft bed/desk.
Glad to see you are well Josh! It has been almost a year since you posted a video. I appreciate all of your videos and your detailed, straightforward instructions. Happy holidays to you and yours!
It's been a very busy year with construction work. I do plan on starting back in the new year. Thanks for the comment.
Looks like a great, well thought out course. Fingers crossed for a new router and a course!
Woodworking is best with tools, and a excellent teacher who can teach you the skill is priceless! Great videos, thank you for creating and sharing.
As a recently retired old guy, and a newbie woodworker, I appreciate the videos which you have provided so far. Planning on tackling the router next.
Just found your channel and I'm subbed! Great, clear, concise explanations with no needless extraneous stuff is what people look for with learning videos, and you do that very well. Thank you for that. Where is the best place to ask questions, Josh? While my carpentry skills aren't bad, there's a few things I'd really like to learn how to do - which are carpentry principles but inexplicably difficult to find via Google for some strange reason. And I could use a router. Thanks! ⛩
Welcome aboard! Email me. Josh@traininghandsacademy or find me on IG... we can share videos and pictures there.
Doing skill-based courses sound awesome! I am looking at a storage shed containing quite a few woodwork tools. Needing to learn how to use them.
What a beautiful channel to help teach others real usable skills!
Thank you!!
Thank you for saying so. :)
Awesome! I'm gonna have to check that class out. Thanks dude!
Good luck my friend.
Thank you Josh! Looking forward to checking out the course.
I really need to take this course. It's been a long time since I've used a router. Thank you for your helpful & informative videos.
I hope you can take advantage of the sale! Good luck on the giveaway.:)
Been loving watching your videos here on CZcams, extremely helpful and informative.
Awesome! Definitely going to check out the course!
Sounds like a very good course. Looking forward to that new router!!!
Irrespective of the prise, as a foreign national, I highly praise you for your overall skill, from that pertaining to the joinery, presentation-wise and quality of information you put out. Keep up the good work Josh! Greeting from Bosnia!
Looks like a great, well thought out course. Would love to make use of routers more in my projects.
Yes, a very in-depth course with 3 cool projects at the end. Good luck.
Thank you for taking the place of the shop teacher I never had. I’m enjoying my new workshop a lot, but I definitely need to learn the skills. I love how you break down things for folks like me who have never used anything more complex than a hammer.
Thank you so much for this comment. :)
I'm looking forward to the course. I'm doing some remodeling on my 1986 Gallatin mobile home, and as a beginner, I'm definitely going to need some skills to move along with my projects. Thanks!
Sounds like a cool project!
Greetings, Thank you for all your help and looking forward to watching and learning with you. Blessings
I have a been a loyal subscriber and have learned so much watching and rewatching your excellent videos. This routing coarse will be an excellent addition to the education of amateur woodworkers like me!
Awesome, thank you!
I bought a Bosch and was not very happy with it. Looks much nicer of a router!
Definitely would love a new router, but importantly to learn the skills needed to bring my creations to life! Great content and good luck everyone
Nice work. Been enjoying your videos. Thank you!
I'll definitely have to check out the course. Looks intriguing!
Thanks for the blessings!
Josh, I learned a lot from the course. Glad to see you posting. I have enjoyed and learned some good tips from your channel. Thanks
Good to hear from you David.
That Dewalt router is super nice. Really like the dual lighting.
Love mine...
Thank you for all you do. I’ve learned a lot watching your videos.
Glad to hear it
I want that router. More than you could ever imagine. If I don’t win that router you might hear about me on the news.
thanks for sharing all the valuable content. keep up the good work.
I really need to learn how to use a router properly and the different types of bits for different applications.
Your videos are great and so educational. Thank you!
Using a trim router to hand carve letters and shapes? I’m intrigued now because most of the videos I found had the router hooked up to a CNC or homemade jig. I’ve seen a few of your videos, and I like the idea of having skills based videos to learn how to accurately use the tool.
Everyone uses CNC's which is the best, but not everyone needs to buy one if they only have a few small projects. It's nice to be able to learn the skills first and then use the technology later.
Just saw this video and I just started woodworking I'm definitely going to use your course
Awesome! Let me know if you need any help. Welcome to woodworking!

As a software person, software routers are not fun to configure but this physical router looks much more fun. ^_^

Love the content. I want that router
We’ll see about that.
Awesome giveaway!
Great channel!
Oh Man, this is the third attempt on typing this question Josh! I accidentally tap somewhere on my phone and I lose everything..
Ok, my hands have become shaky over time. I like to have tools that I don't lose control of as I use them also. I haven't ever had a router before but before I go off and purchase something that is difficult to use, I would like to know if this Dewalt one is something beginners would be comfortable using? I don't like getting tools that are just too advanced for me. I do plenty of building and repair but I just recently started trying to convert my garage into a small workshop, and I really don't want to end up with say, 4 different routers on my wall end only use one. Hopefully you are able to assist me in deciding a good router to start off with. Dewalt has been my favorite brand for about 10 years now, so my guess is that since there others tools work out for me, thus would also.
Bradley S., Ohio
Hey Bradley! Go Buckeyes. Yes, this router is perfect for beginners... it's small which makes it easy to handle, and you can do a lot with it too.
Congratulations to the winners 🏆 Unfortunately, I cannot enter as I live in 🇨🇦 but that's okay. Your channel and hard work is awesome thank you and Merry Christmas everyone 🎄🎅🤶🎁🥂🍾
I've got something coming around Christmas for all my subs outside of the US. Stay tuned.
i’ve been wanting to learn how to uses router.. the trim routers seem a bit less intimidating 😋
They are for sure.
Looks great. Hoping for that win
Just found your channel on my new journey. Thank you for the great videos. There's to not losing a finger. 😂😂 😢😢

Love your content
Nice!
Sounds like a great course, but I really hope I win the router!
Hey Josh! I was looking into respirators after seeing your video a year ago. I was wondering if any of these amazon brands can be trusted? I see, what I assume to be, a pretty sweet deal. It says "RANKSING Reusable Respirator 7502 with 2 Packs 2097, Half Facepiece Gas Mask for Dust/Organic Vapors/Smells/Fumes/Sawdust/Asbestos for Painting,Staining,Spraying,Sanding,Cutting,Polising and More" and its only about 20 bucks! Please let me know your thoughts on this! It says organic vapors even though it has the p100 pink filter.
Hello! I wish I could help but I don't know that brand at all. I looked it up... it looks ok but it's really hard to say. Maybe go through the reviews?
@@TrainingHandsAcademy Reviews look decent... However I dont know if its worse quality or is it 3M is paying for brand
I would buy the 3M... when it comes to protective gear, I always get products I can trust. @@armadillobear9321
I’m in the US. I love your podcast and I love DeWalt power tools. I hope I win!!!
Good luck.
