I know many sadhaka in my area who awake whole night and do chanting of panchakshari mantra (namah shivay) with a erect spine asana...thats the ideal thing to do in mahashivratri but those who can't do it they do jagran(katha) of shiva leela from shiva mahapurana and kirtana and chanting. Etc

Is enlightenment ultimate or the starting point in spiritual journey???????
Ultimate
Being merged with the ultimate aka liberation is the ultimate. Generally 'Enlightenment' is referred to profoundly experiencing & realising the ultimate nature while being in the body. Sadhguru says the actual enlightenment happens just before one leaves the body aka nirvana. If you start exploring mystical things then it can be an endless journey.
The energy lies in Kundalini or mooladhara chakra(bottom of spine)
On the day of Mahashivratri there is a upsurge of energy(ocean is a proof)
The only way to make the energy reach from mooladhara to sahasrara is by creating a upward pressure and keeping the spine erect
On the special day, just keeping the spine erect will bring significant advantages
Which scripture says that there's a natural upsurge of energy on this day? I'm not saying sadhguru is lying he may be absolutely correct
@@DungarSinghChauhanwell there's some tantrika tradition and kashmiri shaivism there's some scriptures which says so now I didn't know exactly name nor these say's to keep awake but say's the same thing in symbolic or metaphorically
Meditativeness is usually with erect spine during sitting (floor or chair) or in internal martial arts, standing meditation posture, while being totally still and relax/release of all tensions.. Few decades ago I asked a KF master why can't we meditate while horizon in bed? I never did got a good amswer.
Internal martial arts, mostly in China, with many different disciplines, from what I've know they all keep the spine erect during meditate training so that the "chi" can be realized and harnessed. Chi or qi came from Sanskrit sha-kti, and they mean life end or vital energy. In Chinese the manipuraka chakra (just below the navel is called "dang tien"

Sadhguru has a straight spine and doesn't know what it's like to have a twisted spine, because if he did, he would know a twisted spine is a gift! It is the soul initiating a spiritual awakening journey. My spine hasn't been straight since I was 12 years old, and it has led me to enlightenment at 18 years old. The body actually doesn't NEED anything for the soul to be enlightened. The soul uses the body as a temporary vessel, soul transcends the body. My twisted spine is the reason I went soul searching, I HAD TO in order to heal myself! When someone has a twisted spine, the soul needs to be more powerful than the body, so the fluids in the spine have more momentum to rise back up to the pineal gland. This is what MY spine tells me ☺️

It is of his own, which is half the point to find yours from within, but there is a long line of teaching not to get ahead of yourself. No spine is the same- and enlightenment is of riddling success with what you put in and give out. Working at it is part of enlightenment to further a notion. It might not always be good, or be up to your own expectations- this is simple experience to find what helps, or whatever it is you do. Life is always changing, though some things stay the same no matter what. Meditation isn't always from "instructed" positions- lifes flows on, always, even as we sit to reflect. When in movement, grace and wisdom lead- just be mindful.
On a note why Sahdguru mentioned the two mules and hauling tank parts up a mountain- Take note of the erection to a summit in a moment of genius at work. If one was to seek a spiritual practice on the day, there are many ways. From yogi, whittling, tending crops, stacking totems and even helping something get on its feet, so to speak. It is a day of good works, though it does not have to be so strenuous.
