  • In this series we travel OFF ROAD through the entire state of Idaho! Our track follows much of the BDR route (Back Country Discovery Route). However our track is altered to incorporate historic sites and plenty of recreational activities such as paddle boarding and mountain biking. We will spend a total of 6 weeks enjoying the Idaho backcountry.
You can download the Idaho BDR maps here: ridebdr.com/id...
In this video we travel Section 7 starting in Clark Fork and heading south to Wallace. We primarily used Gaia Maps (offline).
Be sure to slow down, explore and enjoy the areas! There are many fire lookout towers and fun sites to discover along the way. This route was mapped for dual sport motorcycles and you’ll likely encounter many during the high summer travel season. However, most vehicles can make the journey as it is primarily forest service roads.
    More to come…

Outstanding! I was just there last month with my rig...I drove the Magruder Corridor. I actually took 5 nights getting across it. At least 4 lookout towers along that route, camping and views similar to what you got up north there. The road is actually in really good shape...dusty as anything I'e ever seen, though. If you haven't been there yet, camp and hike at the Seven Devils...figure out where the shortcut route is to the top from the campground. Doing this trip on the same Yokohama's?

Awesome! Magruder Corridor was interesting but a bit less scenic due to the burns. It is part of the BDR route which is fun. Yep... same Yoko X-AT tires since the truck was new. I keep thinking about replacing them but they haven't failed yet. And somewhat curious how long they will last. :)

Great video man. I live in Boise and am planning south to north on the ID BDR in late June with my F350. Any pointers for me

Watch the entire series for ideas... biggest thing is fuel range and ability to be self-sufficient. Many stretches are no cell zones. Make sure to add all the fun offshoot destinations.

Great video as always, may I make a suggestion? Your videos are so good you don't need the obnoxious music. The views are enough the music takes away from it. I'll keep watching though. LOL
