Strasburg Railroad: Memorial Day Weekend 2012

- On Saturday May 26th, I headed out to Strasburg to catch the first two-train operation of the year. I found #90 on the 5-car half hour train (does anybody notice anything special about the three coach cars on that train?). This was her first week of operation for 2012, so they were letting her take it easy. Since #475 has been out all season, she took care of the 8-car hourly train. Because of recently finished track work at Leaman Place, the trains had to take it slow over the new swithces. This caused each train to be about 15 minutes late, and they had to make up some great time. So sit back, relax, and enjoy, as the marvelous Mastodon and delightful Decapod each steam their way to Paradise and back!
Also: Sorry for the rough camera movements, crookedness, and some editing glitches. This is my first full video like this.
Love when they run late, they floor it through Esbenshade!

I waited a couple of times for trains to come back from Leaman Place at Carpenter's and Byler's and it took FOREVER!

Dear Strasburg. PLEASE keep the original road lettering on your locomotives. I know it's a relatively recent thing and would love if you kept it that way. We all know that you're Strasburg- it looks dopey written in N&W font on the tender of 475.
This video is from 2012, at this point I doubt they will change any of them back except for special occasion charters paid by outside groups. I agree though.
