To be fair, Peter Oldring really only had four episodes to voice act as Ezekiel, the first one only being two lines at that. Given the time of production of when he had a chance to voice act him as him again when Celebrity Manhunt came about, it makes sense he probably tweaked up the voice a bit more with a thicker Canadian accent.
I still don't get why they made him into a zombie in the Third season In the Total Drama Special from the first season, he seemed to be a good team member with Lindsay and Beth. Like yeah no shit dude, the guy had a unique backstory of being home-schooled all his life and having little to no social interaction prior to coming to TDI. It would have been nice to see that explored instead of just having him as elimination fodder in every single season he competes in.

I think he had more potential to develop and grow as a character instead of just being used as elimination fodder in every season he competes in, especially considering he isn’t just a literal flat, one-note character like Staci or Beardo. I have also read some fanfics (particularly from Deviantart artist/writer JoeMerl) with him having major spots that made him actually look VERY convincingly canon without trying too hard either. I also can relate to Zeke in some ways having once been in his shoes when I was in the grade school days and first couple years of middle, so yeah, I was a bit bummed his character just got the short end of the stick
I think it wouldve been way cooler to see Ezekiel go on a sort of cinderella run to the final 6 or so by just blending in and staying under the radar, there were characters withh way worse personalities that couldve easily served as the first seasons throwaway character

To be fair, Peter barely had any time at all to voice him with what little screen time he had. That said, I actually prefer how his voice sounded in Action and World Tour - less restrained on his Canadian accent.
