Repainting Rusted Steel Wheels (Amazing Results!)

- My friend Dave had some rusted steel wheels on his Suzuki Vitara. So we came up with a plan to sand them down and refinish them. Follow along the condensed version of what was hours of grinding, sanding and prep work. They say prep work is the key to a perfect paint job and it is so true. We took our time and it really came out right! Way better than some plastidip. Enjoy!

These wheels look great, thanks for sharing.
They look sweet! Great job.
Rustoleum has a cheap and very factory silver called Bright Silver Metallic, it is like $6 at Walmart and one can is enough to cover 4 wheels using 2 good coats or 4 light coats.
Top job just about to do this myself, I commend you for removing the wheel weights first , I think this is the first steel wheel paint video i have seen anyone do it 👌
Thanks! Our goal was to have it come out with the best results possible and you definitely can't do that without removing the weights.
Man that cake out sick! I love the finish what color/ brand paint primer did you use ??
How did you remove the rust that are deep in the groove ?
And what rust converter do you use ?
Dont ya just love a DIY video that doesn't include brand names for the important stuff?
- sarcasm.
What kind of paint did you use
what are exaclty the wire wheels you are using ?? i see you use 2 wire wheels .
What type of wire wheel did you use? Thanks
I just bought a pack of cheap ones from Harbor Freight.
What about the wheel weights?
If you watch till the end, we marked where the weights were with tape and put them back on.
Why do youtube car fix it guys always put music in the audio instead of explanations about the type of stuff they use? Are they expecting viewers to DANCE while watching the video? Read your comments. You've had several questions about rust converter, removing rust, primer, etc. because you had very little explanation about the process. But at least we could all dance while trying to guess what you were doing.
Your not telling what your doing
