    I haven't seen you block once in Street Fighter lol. Also, Megan Man isn't too difficult its just about pace/timing. It's not everyone's cup of tea (It's understandable). Great video on the Super Pocket! The Super Capcom Edition seems to have the most value in terms of preloaded games in my opinion. However, the Taito Edition seems like a nice option as well. Either way, both handhelds seem like a good option as a time killer especially when in between breaks at work or in school.

    Interesting, your take on Mega Man. My friends and I were in love with all those games back in the day. I guess we grinded so much because I got pretty good as a kid 🤷

    • @CrazyBurger
      @CrazyBurger  Před 9 měsíci

      It probably stems from never growing up with a NES or Mega Man. No nostalgia fir it.. the thought of grinding it out now, doesn't really appeal. NES wasn't really that popular over here. Most I knew all had C64 or Spectrum.

    It's a nice little thing - with the right games on it. Bullet visibility is an important thing for shooters, and tiny shoulder buttons are far from ideal for six button fighting games. But you can add games, right? And how does the D-pad feel?

    • @CrazyBurger
      @CrazyBurger  Před 8 měsíci +1

      Dpad is fine. You can add games via Evercade carts but you can't add your own roms. Unless you go down the EverSD route. I'm not sure if that works on the pocket.

    Great video! Your ranking pretty much equals mine. As I wrote earlier, the missing Tate mode makes those actually great games unplayable/no fun. It's a shame that they included the way too difficult Hyper Fighting. Any other version would have been better. Imo Super Puzzle Fighter would have been a great choice and perfectly suitable and playable on this device and apart from that a great title to add to the genre mix.

    You HAVE been making progress! Congratulations on beating Cut Man! 😃 I thought you were gonna rank it dead last, #6 isn´t bad! Regarding the tate games, can Super Pocket be hooked up to a screen like the EXP, or is it strictly handheld?

    Odd that capcom put so many tate mode games on this device . And as u say forgotten worlds is a great game if u got twin anologs.
    Final fight one hell of a game , so is strider , capcom did so many classics
    Still not liking the mega pocket too uncomfortable for me to play any games for more than a few mins..ill be selling mine on and sticking to the evercade .
    I understand this is a budget price handheld compared to premium exp

    • @CrazyBurger
      @CrazyBurger  Před 8 měsíci

      Highly likely. They will support it with firmware updates but doubt any specific cart will be released just for the pocket.

    I don't know, I feel the space shooting games and fighting games are always for me monotonous and derivative, and this collection is no exception. I only like the ghouls and ghosts game and strider is fair, that's why I went with the taito super pocket.

  • @TheRADRAD
    @TheRADRAD Před 9 měsíci +1

    I have played Street Fighter II on a lot of devices, but playing it here on the Super Pocket... any type of offense on your left hand, which is dedicated to the D-Pad and overall movement... that is a sin. Especially when it feels like your down-back crouch blocking kinda... stops functioning at times. If this were Champion Edition instead, it would be at a more manageable speed, but for Hyper Fighting, where the action is faster, playing it on a Super Pocket just feels like a handicap at times. I can get relatively consistent with my fireball motions, which is a plus, but there's no 2 player functionality, and this game even slips its way into the subject of the FAQ, saying that setting it to Easy Mode doesn't matter because it's Street Fighter II with the company's only response being "eh, get good, I guess?" Unless you like getting mashed into paste by the CPU, you have better legal, and less legal, ways to play Hyper Fighting on the go (PC just gets either Fightcade or Street Fighter 30th, which no duh) but hey, you guys think Hyper Fighting is hard? Good thing they didn't put Super Street Fighter II Turbo on here.
    My kingdom for button remapping, a feature you could even do in its 16 bit iteration!

    Can you please clear something up? I have the intellivision 2 cartridge and I know you have to use the shoulder buttons to start most games, but some like auto racing won't start on my super pocket. Also I had the original system many years ago and it's hard to set up the game without the overlays and only 2 games came with them on this cartridge. Now my question is, do you experience the same problem with games not loading on your super pocket for intellivision 2, and if so, what can I do to correct the situation? Thank you.

    • @CrazyBurger

      Sure let me check.. that game is notorious to even get started. If I recall you need to switch between both controllers to get started. I'll get back to you in a few mins.

    • @CrazyBurger
      @CrazyBurger  Před 9 měsíci

      OK. As I recalled its a nightmare. So press start. Then choose how many players, either hold R1 OR L1 (to bring up the virtual keypad)then press 1, followed by E. Then choose your car.. 1 to 5 I think is your options.. might want to refer to the original manual to what each car was, then press E again to confirm. Now press select, this switches to the left controller. Hold R1 press E. Remember to press select to switch back to right controller.. now enjoy the race.. lol its a tough game to master. I'm not sure this is a good cart for the Super Pocket.
