A truly magical sound! I've been looking for a virtual piano to match my moods and styles for a long time...
I think I've found the perfect candidate ! And although I've heard and tested a lot of great pianos, this is probably the most enchanting and beautiful one I've heard.
Wow. Speechless. This will be Synchron piano #6 for me, hands down! I recently bought a 2TB NMVe drive just for VSL Pianos, so I have the room. Resistance is futile.

I was just thinking about you, I haven't been able to comment on your vids due to the crazy amount of work in my Berklee scoring class, but I wanted you to know about this Fazioli release... Then I figured, DUH, she must know already and probably tested it in Beta, lol! And then I come here to hear it, and there you are! 👍

…….I heard Jordan Rudess playing VSL Bosendorfer Imperial a few years ago - wonderful impression, beautiful music and great playing…! So I have bought it. But after that when I was playing, I thought - nah, nothing special 🙋😉…..! Of course the point is, that you have to have it in your head and fingers - if you don ´t, even the best piano sound will not save you. That ´s my message to all of the second-rate pianists ( as me ), just to spare them a possible disappointment….anyway - let´s keep on playing 🙋🌞👊…!
It looks like this virtual piano has the function of a soft pedal? Hope it's not my misunderstanding, I value this feature very much.

Sounds pretty nice, how many dynamic layers have been recorded?
For Pianos sampled in Stage A you will get somewhere between 60-80 velocity layers. - Ben
@@ViennaSymphonicLibrary Thanks for your reply, Ben. If I may I have another short couple of questions: 1) what's the difference between the "Standard Library" and "Full Library"?, and 2) is everything running natively on Apple Silicon? Thanks!
The Full Library contains additional mic positions (2 additional close and 1 mid positions, also mics for surround setup or downmix to stereo). There are no other differences.
We are working on Apple Silicon compatibility right now. Right now you have to run the player in Rosetta mode.

wish all piano bundle was about 670 euro
it is said that a strict press on the piano key is going to sound different from a gentle touch on the key to play a note, so how can a piano robot that is like a simple tap machine play the sound like a gentle touch?
We tought the robot, so it's able to also perform perfectly consistent on very soft velocities. We tuned everything from attack to release curves. So it's not a simple tap machine, but the result of years of R&D.

@@ViennaSymphonicLibrary I think with the electromagnet, it'd be constant acceleration for the robot to tap or press on the key, while a human may not have constant acceleration... in Pianote, they also describe the player can slide from the top of the key to the bottom to play it very gently so I guess the library will be simulating it with the final speed at which the hammer hits the string... I guess it should be pretty close, because ultimately, there are only two things: how fast the hammer hits the strings, and how fast the damper moves away from the string... and if in sustain mode, just one thing: how fast the hammer hits the strings

Sounds great. But I sure won't buy anything from VSL again as long as Synchron Pianos are basically unplayable on Apple M1 machines.
Do you use your M1 Mac for only play or music production?
I have a M1 Mac Mini with only 8GB of ram, I only use it for my piano libraries, I have the Imperial Grand, Yamaha CFX, and I’m afraid I won’t be able to resist to this one, and they all play perfectly without issues.
Something else must be going on there.
What? I can run the VSL CFX pretty nicely on the MacBook Air M1.
I get some pops here and there and then adjust the amount of preload samples and how many threads to assign for use and that works to a point. It not perfect and I want VSL to make a Mac Native version of their software. Then it would be how it should be. It’s somewhat close but isn’t consistent and makes it hard on the computer using Rosetta translation. Someday, maybe????
Vienna has the crappiest download servers. Takes FOREVER to download updates. Just ridiculous.
It depends on your physical location and the ISP routes. In most of Europe you should be able to download software with ~300-500Mbit/s, libraries with up to 1Gbit. In North America software can be a bit slower, but should still be more than reasonable. - Ben

Nope.. Not even close.. Another digital plugin that sounds.. Hmm yes digital... Its thin. To bright. To ear fatigue to listen to.. Sounds like a digital piano. Nothing special about this.. Already better piano plugins out there... I gladly pay 100 times more for a piano vst that sounds like a real piano then throwing any more money on just another useless digital plastic piano.. The tecnology just isn't there yet... Decades away actually, especially after listening to this...
They were on a right direction with the first synchron cfx, everything after that is thin glassy sound
Which VSTs are your favorite?
@@Tristan-mv6lc what doesn't make sense to me is that all of the Synchron pianos are recorded with the same technology and with very similar mic positions, which would mean to me that the CFX is somehow just the most recording-friendly, at least in the context of the methods they use. And the CFX wasn't really "first", was it? It was released at the same time as the Steinway, as far as I know.
That being said, I do think the sample at 0:50 sounds pretty amazing. The question is, will they share the settings for it, or do we have to figure out how to make the plugin sparkle on our own?
