How does the rest of the dressing room feel about that? We have to suck his... or else he'll get rid of us? You can't tell me this is normal or even good for the game.
Also, you won't see me complaining about PSG being rich. This is how it's always been, no? Rich clubs get the best players, not so rich clubs have to deal with it. "Don't hate the player, hate the game". HOWEVER, and I think this is your point, we have to play by the same rules which is what la liga's president was saying. Does Financial Fair play even exist? A club that's reported 700M in loses can do a deal like this because of a "new sponsorship" from Qatar? Does FFP even work? Because you can give him a "modest" salary, but then on the side sign a 150M sponsorship deal as the face of the Qatar WC, or give him properties in Paris, or Miami or a 40M Yacht etc. We talk about salary caps, but thats not going to stop the money on the side, the commissions for signing a contract extension. The commissions to the agents and of course the mother for giving birth to the player and the neighbor for taking care of him one time when he got back from school. There are so many ways around it, and when Khelafi works in UEFA it just stinks of corruption.

No they are not..... But allowing Shite owners like Mike Ashley to hold his fan base hostage while his personal wealth Grew b/c the Mansour's & Abramovich's cause more parity in the PL & exploded Club value thru broadcasting Value is not sustainable either..... FFP is a Joke.... 100% Rev sharing w/ a Hard Salary Cap where Players Salaries are Pegged to a Percentage of Club REvenue
So all 20 Clubs in ALL top Domestic Leagues pour 100% of club revenue into One account controlled by the League & it's divided Equally by all 20 clubs & 50% of that Rev goes to Club maintenance (stadium, repair, academy, non players employee wages) & 40% for Players purchases & wages & 10% for Owners / Investors in Profit / Dividends.....
If Total Rev for ALL 20 Clubs totals 5 Billion than All 20 Clubs get 250M & have 100M to spend on players & that rises w/ inflation - for example 20 yrs Ago that Club Rev figure would be 25M not 250M & 20 yrs from now it will be 500M
but is the Player Salaries are Hard Capped at 40% of Total Revenue that is what it is.... Each club has THAT amount & Only that amount to spend on players & once that money runs out players are Forced to seek out Contracts w/ Other clubs
In incentives clubs to run their clubs Properly & it rewards clubs who are financially Responsible..... B/c w/ a Hard cap if the club gives out too many bad contracts then they are stuck for several years & can Not compete
W/ this system Every club has the Same chance to build a Good team & compete for Silverware
As a Chelsea fan since the 1970's I've experienced Club Bankruptcy, Relegation, almost getting relegated to 3rd Division in 82/83, a 27 yr Trophy Drought from 1971 - 1997 & I've experience the Highest Highs of Football Joy thx to Matthew Harding & Abramovich....
And Nothing would make me happier than seeing EVERY club & their supporter base experiencing the indescribable Joy of Lifting an FA Cup or a Europa League Trophy or a PL Title or a Champ League Trophy.....
It's Joy that lasts a Lifetime & can Never be taken away & EVERY Club should have an Equal chance to Experience this
FFP was Never meant to be fair - it was designed to hold Abramovich & Mansour back so the Big 3 could keep up but it was Never just about money - Abramovich & Mansour shredded lazy fat cat execs at Liverpool, Man Utd & Arsenal b/c they are Talented.... the PL never cared about the other clubs
It's to time replace this clown FFP that never worked anyway w/ a Real system that evens the playing field for Every club......
And this eliminates the Mike Ashley ownership AND the Mbappe crazy contract

It's been well known that PSG is an unmanageable club , too many extra football influences at the club - 4 top coaches Ancelotti, Blanc, Emery & Tuchel have all passed thru PSG over the last 10 years and now Pochettino - lots of domestic success, limitless piles of cash, signing big name players (Neymar, Messi & countless others over the years) they have not been able to break into a top Euro club and win something. There have been plenty of rumours of Leonardo's exit for some while now, but even if he was to stay, I doubt Mbappé would have stayed as well. Yes we all agree that it's definitely obscene the amounts of money, and his off field influence must have transpired during the negotiations between Mbappé and El-Khelaifi as to the reasons of his reluctance to stay, so Al-Khelaifi is not stupid and fully realised the future of the PSG project was Mbappé dependent (not Messi or whoever) so he did what was necessary to save his own skin, his friendship with the emir notwithstanding. Professional footie is corrupt (like all sports), no different than in the UK, the FA or PL are both hugely corrupt bodies, they exist to serve the big clubs, they do not rule for the general benefit of all club footie, it's been like that for donkey's years.

The likes of Crespo, Mendieta, Christian Vieri, Nedved and R9 to Inter. Tebas’ case is not that Real Madrid and the Serie A clubs doesn’t spend. But fact is that most of the time their spending were balanced by the sales and revenue. To buy Figo, Madrid sold Anelka and Redondo. Meanwhile PSG themselves recorded 300 mil loss, but are still able to pump out these ridiculous contracts. They cover up their balances through “sponsorships” that came outta nowhere. People complained about Barca, Real Madrid, and Man United years ago but at least they were using real revenue to pay the transfers and wages (Barca not recently but historically). Chelsea kicked it off with sugar daddy ownership which spilled over into other leagues and throughout the UK. Simon went partially at it with PSG having direct influence in Europe despite spitting in the face of FFP. The logical next step is that the governing bodies have been compromised and are simply not holding these clubs to comply. Both PSG and Man City have showed Newcastle's new owners how to skirt around the rules with FFP by having a half dozen related party sponsor deals at amounts dwarfing a realistic valuation. Real may have started the trend of big transfers and wages but they actually generate revenue whereas PSG and Man City fan bases have no where near grown at the pace of their sponsor revenues would suggest. It is making the properly run clubs feel more and more pressure as the fans cry out for the big players that demand big fees and wages but it is not sustainable. This is largely why Klopp is viewed so highly by many for achieving the success he has while spending so much less (net spend) than rivals. Both PSG and Man City have spent billions and still haven't won the CL!
