If no one addressed this, the title of Fridays Child is from an old limerick: Monday’s child is fair of face, Tuesday’s child is full of grace, Wednesday’s child is full of woe, Thursday’s child has far to go, Friday’s child is loving and giving, Saturday’s child must work for a living, A child born on the Sabbath day Is fair and wise and good and gay.
I recently learned about how it was not all fantastic for the actor who played chekov. He was 10 yrs older than his character- was given some good lines but they used him for comic relief so much. There was dressing room drama too. Good that Walter got to play an admiral many years later as a more major character.
As if every single actor on every production ever should have exactly the same role and screen time and none should be there for comic relief or anything else... 🙄 Yeah, poor Walter, he only earned hundreds of millions of dollars from a sweet gig for which fans around the world loved him. Poor guy. ffs
@@AD-kv9kj Well said. Actors complaining is beyond pittyful. You got to star in seven movies and 3 seasons of TV and get money from conventions for sitting around and talking to this day... poor you
@@AD-kv9kjNobody earned hundreds of millions while working on TOS, which was a failed show at the time. And nobody except the big three were getting more than basic pay for working in the show. And then afterward, they were all typecast, and basically had very little success being normal working character actors. They started getting more regular gigs when the convention circuit started becoming a thing. And that’s. If hundreds of millions either. That’s appearance money. It’s not acting jobs. Look at Kienig’s credits as an actor. They are much less extensive than a working big player and character actor on TV. Every once in a while he would get a chance at a small appearance in a Trek movie. Or a rare recurring role.
Nichelle Nichols spoke of "Mirror, Mirror" as a favorite episode. Maybe someone mentioned that when you did the original reaction, but I thought it was worth mentioning again.
Re: Ultimate Computer. Keep in mind that no one i knew in 68 had touched a computer. 2001 hadnt even come out yet. No one had any ideas how we would interact with them.

Journey to Babel & Piece of the Action are very special episodes to me as they were my first episodes along with Space Seed & Where No Man Has Gone Before. My aunt got me a dvd "Volume 2 of the CGI remaster" for Christmas after we saw the 2009 JJ Abrams film. Before that I knew little about Star Trek, just through cultural ausmosis it was "the nerd show" those episodes couldn't have been a better introduction to the series
Ooooh, this is great. I don't know if you have this type of video for other seasons of shows, but you should definitely do them if don't. I'm not super into reactions to TOS, so I probably won't watch those, but I would for Next Gen. and other shows.
