- What what! New video format? Does it work? Is it horrid? Nobody knows! Well, I don't know. But I feel like in a couple of month it might be cool to have a series started up documenting how the city changes and how the vibe gets a lil bit different with every couple of weeks. Please share your thoughts, wonderful peeps!

I love the idea of this month-by-month breakdown of activities. Im planning to move to Edinburgh in May 2022 so seeing a more detailed idea of the different times of year is a very cool concept to me
Really enjoyed this new concept! Keep it! Keep it! Thank you so so much for taking the time to entertain and inform us!
New format is good for me! I've had an offer for a job in Edinburgh, so will be escaping England before the end of the year. Your videos are always very helpful and entertaining, thank you.
This was great. We hope you continue this format!
Thanks for doing this. I can’t get enough of Edinburgh.
We loved the new video!! We can't wait to go to Edinburgh next summer!!
Love the idea of month-by-month in Edinburgh!
Awesome vid😍i really want to visit Scotland❤️
Loved this video and would love to see more, even with snippets of your talking throughout the month!
I will be visiting Edinburgh soon and I have been binge watching all your videos about the best places to eat at and things to do. Great videos, I love your channel, you have such a great, down to earth personality!
Hi Kakibot - the new concept works very well, in my opinion. Informative, relaxing and gets your attention to anything you point out or discuss. Have a wonderful trip back to the Czech Republic. Prague is always my next choice after more experiences in Scotland. Cheers to you and Simon from Canada!
Very well done. I look forward to this once a month concept. Different is good… 😊 🙋♀️ Enjoy Prague!
I love watching your videos!! me and my bf are moving from Canada next year to Scotland, I’ve been learning so much from you💕
That's awesome! Hope your move goes smoothly! .)
Wonderful video! You are so creative, and I enjoy watching. Please continue being YOU! I’m checking out your store on Etsy today.
Such a good idea!! Loved the video :)
Hello beautiful country and wederful people 😊
Another amazing video as always :)
Yes, this was great!
I really like This format 🤩😘
Sorry if I come across a Grumpy Edinburgher - I am ! - but the only good thing about covid was Embra being deserted in August and again at New Year. It was gorgeous! Driving home from work at 2am one night in December with a ton of fresh snow on the streets I headed all the way up to the Castle Esplanade. Just a few people had ventured out for a snowball fight but it was ethereal and utterly beautiful. I'll never see it like that again but I'm very glad that for that one time I did. See you hordes again in August.
It’s good to see the silver lining! I totally agree that “having the place for ourselves” for a change was actually really nice, but in the same way as being at home ill “finally gives you time to play all your Switch games” haha. It’s strange to think that without the lockdowns we would probably never get a chance to experience the city this way.
I need to go back over, would love to go in fall or winter next time.
I love seeing what blouses you’ll be wearing. 🍄
I did hear about The Elephant House through a photog on Insta, what a shame. Never got to scribble on the loo wall.
Whatever you’re posting, I’m a fan. 👋🏻
I think you'd love autumn here! Winter is for hardcore fans only - which you are, so perhaps you'd be able to have a great time then too!
Thank you for the video
You’re very welcome!
👍👍👍👍👍👍
If you love doing this sort of video go ahead then. We are going to keep watching ;)
Great video Kat - really enjoyed it and look forward to more of the same format. One small comment: it's the Festival Fringe, not Fringe Festival!
You should make a video of Prague. It would be great.
Great video. Thank you! Can I ask, what mic pack/mic do you use? Thank you :)
Hi Katerina, as a fellow Edinburgher, I just wanted to get in touch to congratulate you on a fantastic channel and to thank you for all the hard work you put into showing off my home city so beautifully. As a fellow CZcamsr I know how time consuming it is to make great videos like this (I don't think people always realise) and I wish you every success - you really deserve it. I'd love to give you a wee shout out on my own channel and add you to my recommended channels - hope that's OK. Thanks for all you do for the city and keep up the fantastic work. Warmest best wishes, David
Thank you David! How nice to connect with a fellow video creator! And thank you so much for the shout out - I really appreciate that. You're so right about how there is just so much work going into making videos that stays absolutely invisible, so it's nice when it's appreciated .) I need to get myself over to your channel and binge-watch all your adventures now!!
@@Kakibot Thanks so much Katerina. I’m afraid I’m nowhere near as accomplished a presenter as you are, but I’m working on it! Hope you don’t find my videos too boring. They really are a lot of work, but I seem to be drawn to keep making them and it can be a lot of fun and fulfilling at times. Thanks for getting back to me, I really appreciate it and keep up the great work. I’m a real fan. All the best, David
Keep going with the videos. Can you film What are the high-demand jobs in Edinburgh?
It's a really cool topic, but I'm not entirely sure who I could brain-pick about it! Maybe one day when I make some professional recruiter friends? x)
Who has plans in Edinburgh for September? :)
Do you think June or July are better time to visit then August due to the heaviest crowds or is it about the same?
Depends! Festivals DO make the city feel crowded BUT they also bring a lot of extra fun stuff to do. So if you’re after seeing some shows and enjoying street food until late, August might be a better choice! It’s definitely the most crowded the city gets but there’s also so much more to do, so it kinda balances itself out. It is also probably the most expensive to book tickets and hotels then though.
Edinburgh in winter?
Planning to go in winter not sure if it's worth it?
For a die hard fan of Scotland I think even winter works, but generally I don't recommend it! Last winter was kinda unusually snowy (and much colder than usual) which has created some amazing photo opportunities - but more often it's dark, wet and windy. That said many of my friends visited me in February or March and we still managed to have a good time .)
Ah, are face masks not necessary anymore at Edinburgh?
Snowdrop - masks are only mandatory in Scotland on public transport, in shops, and in bars and restaurants when moving around and not seated.
Restrictions have been relaxed because the vast majority of over eighteens have been double vaxed.
