This band is unreal. check out "winds of transylvania" it's still in my opinion a higher level in thrash. "Break the wall" has a classic sound but "winds of transylvania" has a sound outside the planet Thrash. This track is out of this world.

Burden of time- live studio( their in their studio aka abyss, out of the white clothes) Miyako plays guitar and piano same time, yeah! Your gonna love Nemophila as well, heh. Great rythum section there as well, Murata Ai on drums, Haraguchi San on bass, Oiran and Dissension live outside this year, they do some incredible hair banging, Singer Mayu screams are incredible.

I love your reactions to Lovebites! Totally how I feel when I watch them too. They're the greatest metal band in the world right now, and probably the best in 30 years. Right there with the best of all time. I'm beside myself to see them live. Even tried to get tickets for the show in Japan in March, but it looks like I couldn't get them. I would have found a way to go, just because I can't wait until they come to the US, even if they do eventually (they better!).
Such enthusiasm from you both. As you say, a real band, not a cobbled together group of lady's from a production company. They have a way of mixing various metal styles into their songs. We can only hope that Miho finds peace and the other Lovebites lady's decide to continue.
This band is incredible. Other members of the Wolfpack already recommended awesome songs to react to, so I will not overwhelm you with stuff. You two are THE most excited reactions to Lovebites I have seen. I love watching you because your appreciation, excitement and praise is 100% genuine. You have reacted in the same way virtually everyone who tuned in to your Holy War reaction from their CZcams feed did. We lurk and prowl waiting to see someone react to the band and you have NOT disappointed. But trust us when we tell you that this is the ONLY level these girls know how to play at. Virtuoso. Sadly, the Steve Harris inspired bassist, Miho, left the band on Wednesday, but they’ve promised us they’ll be back, and they will. Miyako’s parents played her Rainbow tracks, and her guitar hero of heroes is Gary Moore, so some of her persona on stage is influenced by both of those giants of the guitar… not because she’s mimicking them, but because we all tend to attract to some characters we know are like us (Ritchie is God after all). The band logo makes a great tattoo.. I had mine in May, 5 months after these ladies both blew my mind AND rekindled an interest in metal that had, in all honesty, all but died. They have a 2 hour live release due out on 29th September which you can order now via the official Lovebites website, and this concert plus one the year before available right now, as well as one from 2018 called Battle in the East that you’ll have to do some research to track down (it’s included as a bonus BluRay on an album release). Man, they play stuff that will melt what’s left of your astonished faces I promise you.
Back in 2017, within 2 weeks of them dropping their first video "Don't Bite the Dust", I was sent an email and told to go see, I've been a founding member of The Wolf Pack ever since, have bought everything they've ever released Day 1. I reacted much the way you guys did when I saw that first video...and every single thing I heard from them afterwards..lol
I wish I would have found them sooner. But when I did.... they went to my #1 spot from day-1. I can't get Miho off my mind. I never expected this. I'm still in shock that she would want to walk away from this. I thought this is what she wanted. She put together the perfect band. In spite of my sadness, I will always respect her wishes. Even if I don't understand it. I just want her to be happy. Perhaps in time... everything will work itself out for the best. I hope it will.
I don’t have a favorite because Miyako, Midori, Haruna, Miho, and Asami are so good in their own respects, and they are respectful to other members of the band not like some bands where one individual steals the show for themselves. Yes they go through the whole genre, I’d even say that Dystopian Symphony is a bit like old Dream Theater. I think you should find Shadowmaker in concert or the “Live at Abyss” recording to do next. That is my new theme song- awesome lyrics, but there’s not a lyrics version online so you’ll have to read along on another screen or print or whatever. The live from Abyss version of “Scream for Me” or the concert version has a good guitar battle. Don’t sell Midori short- even Miyako said that she didn’t think she’d ever be able to play as fast as her. Also, their upbeat stuff is great too like Rising, or Edge of the World. Above the Black Sea and Under the Red Sky are great for like a Dio Black Sabbath feel. Ha!!! No concert version, but check out the lyrics to Mastermind 01 off Clockwork Immortality.
Hey! Y’all need to check out the new video from their March 2021 concert - Set the World on Fire! The concert itself was inhibited by Japan’s ruthless Covid rules- half capacity, no shouting or screaming, only clapping. Regardless, the performance in this song was FREAKING AWESOME!!! I, fan of: Iron Maiden, Helloween, Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Accept, Dio, Rainbow, Judas Priest or Anthrax.. was at full hype mode when first listening to this 5 girls. Every new song, a new smile. Every new single, more gasoline to the fire. 2 years, 2 Ep's and 1 LP after i discovered them, the fire is burning wild. But i must warning you: There are other bands in Japan that will amaze you (for me not as awesome or hit at this deep level as Lovebites, but really they are amazing) Bands like Nemophila (a band with only 2 years since formation, but with an infectious smile and joy for rock and heavy metal - must see their covers of great songs-), Galneryus (with a guitar virtuoso called Syu), Asterism (3 teenagers, with a genius guitarist girl. Instrumental) Band Maid.. What to say of them?. Hard rock. (very hard). with Misa, The Bass. (i will don't say more..) Mary's blood, Unlucky Morpheus, Ningen Isu, Hanabie... and the most heavy, crude and original band of Japan: Maximum the Hormone All of them can blow your mind..

Another great reaction! This is my fav when it comes to the contrast of solos. Miyako soothes you after Midori rips your face off! I've seen it in the other comments. You've only begun to see what Miyako can do. Guitar is her second instrument. She's primarily a highly skilled concert pianist. I've seen the suggestions for "Swan Song". That's a good one, but make sure you find the version with Miyako's Chopin Etude intro. Or you could go with "Empty Daydream" where she rips some piano AND sings! Watching for the next one!

Lovebites prove that you don't need multiple tattoos and piercings, need to wear ragged jeans and T-shirts, no need to gurn while soloing or have drug or alcohol problems to play metal. They have proved that you can look like models on the catwalk and still play face melting metal. I would put them up against any male metal band and I think they would probably slay the opposition with their technical ability, songwriting skills and flawless live performances. Very sad to see Miho leave, I wish har all the best, I just hope they can find a bass player who will sit the pocket Haruna. Miho is a very, very hard act to follow.
Yeah guys they've got that effect on you when you see them. I know by my self I already sow them twice in Wacken Germany 2018th and in UK 2019th. Hope they comeback soon and continue to make that amazing music. If you want more stuff like this check the songs Awakening/Hammer of wrath and Addicted. And i wish you some day to see them live ( ofcourse Miho is not gonna be there, but hopefully they can find some good bassist) to continue to make this fantastic music. Welcome to the Pack! I feel you and have been addict for quite some time. Its a hard time with the loss of Miho...their biggest metalhead. Her headbanging has been so fun to watch... 😪
Miyako's biggest solo moment on guitar is probably in Edge of the World. She also has epic classical piano intros on Swan Song (there are clips of Swan Song on CZcams both with and without the piano intro, but even if you pick the wrong one, it also has a piano outro, so you'll still be able to see her thrash the keys) and Endless Daydream. Miyako is more of a blues-style and experimental guitarist, after the likes of Gary Moore, Ritchie Blackmore, and Eddie Van Halen, so if bluesy and soulful solos are your thing, she is definitely your girl! If fast, thrashy solos are more your speed, though, Midori is probably the one you want! She's classically trained and plays in the vein of Yngwie Malmsteen. Of the two, Miyako is the more well-rounded musician (she plays guitar, piano, bass, drums, and sings), but Midori is the faster, tighter, more technical *guitarist*. I won't go so far as to say she is better than Miyako, since they play different styles, and they are both virtuosos and about equal in their own styles. But she is the faster and cleaner of the two, with the more classical technique.
There's funny story about Midori and Miyako guitar playing. From Midori, Haruna and Asami interviews while promoting Battle Against Damnation. It was decided from the beginning that Midori would handle technical shredding, fast and punchy solos while Miyako in charge of melodic solos. So, when Miyako played a fast phrase, Midori said, "Do I have to go beyond that? Please forgive me." 🤣🤣🤣 Miyako could do faster solos but that means Midori would have to be more faster and she's fine with that
Watched all 3 of your reactions and I must say welcome to the wolfpack. We really more people like you to spread the word about this band. We want them to come to the states but for sure the demand is not there. We need to expose Lovebites more and with your help, that will greatly get promoters to get some dates here in the US. The Song Structure wise remind me of Iron Bound by Overkill with the slow part in the middle. Awesome. Miyako seem's to have the Evil Genius Attitude that is not a bad thing. Quite the opposite, Pure Genius.
So I felt the same when I discovered these ladies last november, since been listening almost nothing but Lovebites. I am an old fan of Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Testament etc. I even hear keys on that trashy middle section that reminds me of Deep Purple.. Miyako has stated that this solo is a dedicated to Gary Moore, or so I have read somewhere. My suggest to you my favourites: Awakening/The Hammer of Wrath live in Tokyo 2020, Above the Black Sea live in Wacken 2018, Edge of the World live 2020 and Under the Red Sky live 2019, these you can just start to... 🤘🏻
"Break The Wall" is my favorite also. Also, check out LIVE "Raise Some Hell" and "Hammer of Wrath" from that same concert at Zepp DiverCity in Tokyo. Their non-live produced videos are great also, check out "Shadowmaker", "Glory To The World" and "Winds of Transylvania". The produced videos are more progressive power metal than thrash but GREAT!
It's been really fun watching you guys discovering these ladies! There's a track called Winds of Transylvania that's another heavy one you'll really enjoy. Set the World on Fire might be their heaviest, and it's going to be on the new live dvd that's about to be released.

One reactor said it's a crime to have two such great guitarists. Their different styles brings a lot to the experience and is well reflected in their stage personas. Extremely skilled musicians doing amazing music. Raise some hell is good for energy. I love to listen to it when I'm cleaning the house. Try to not speed if you're listening in the car, though...

Seen them live in Edinburgh on the UK tour with Dragon Force I was on medication for 6 weeks after it even the guitars and drums get sent away for therapy after each gig.
Asami has great crowd control. When she was shushing the crowd it is because they were of time. She was getting the crowd back on beat. I saw LOVEBITES live in Osaka, Japan in 2019. They were absolutely incredible. One of the best live bands I have ever seen.

Such enthusiasm from you both. As you say, a real band, not a cobbled together group of lady's from a production company. They have a way of mixing various metal styles into their songs. We can only hope that Miho finds peace and the other Lovebites lady's decide to continue.

You have reacted in the same way virtually everyone who tuned in to your Holy War reaction from their CZcams feed did. We lurk and prowl waiting to see someone react to the band and you have NOT disappointed. But trust us when we tell you that this is the ONLY level these girls know how to play at. Virtuoso. Sadly, the Steve Harris inspired bassist, Miho, left the band on Wednesday, but they’ve promised us they’ll be back, and they will. Miyako’s parents played her Rainbow tracks, and her guitar hero of heroes is Gary Moore, so some of her persona on stage is influenced by both of those giants of the guitar… not because she’s mimicking them, but because we all tend to attract to some characters we know are like us (Ritchie is God after all). The band logo makes a great tattoo.. I had mine in May, 5 months after these ladies both blew my mind AND rekindled an interest in metal that had, in all honesty, all but died. They have a 2 hour live release due out on 29th September which you can order now via the official Lovebites website, and this concert plus one the year before available right now, as well as one from 2018 called Battle in the East that you’ll have to do some research to track down (it’s included as a bonus BluRay on an album release). Man, they play stuff that will melt what’s left of your astonished faces I promise you.

Back in 2017, within 2 weeks of them dropping their first video "Don't Bite the Dust", I was sent an email and told to go see, I've been a founding member of The Wolf Pack ever since, have bought everything they've ever released Day 1. I reacted much the way you guys did when I saw that first video...and every single thing I heard from them afterwards..lol
I wish I would have found them sooner. But when I did.... they went to my #1 spot from day-1.
I can't get Miho off my mind. I never expected this. I'm still in shock that she would want to walk away from this. I thought this is what she wanted. She put together the perfect band. In spite of my sadness, I will always respect her wishes. Even if I don't understand it. I just want her to be happy. Perhaps in time... everything will work itself out for the best. I hope it will.
I don’t have a favorite because Miyako, Midori, Haruna, Miho, and Asami are so good in their own respects, and they are respectful to other members of the band not like some bands where one individual steals the show for themselves.
Yes they go through the whole genre, I’d even say that Dystopian Symphony is a bit like old Dream Theater. I think you should find Shadowmaker in concert or the “Live at Abyss” recording to do next. That is my new theme song- awesome lyrics, but there’s not a lyrics version online so you’ll have to read along on another screen or print or whatever. The live from Abyss version of “Scream for Me” or the concert version has a good guitar battle. Don’t sell Midori short- even Miyako said that she didn’t think she’d ever be able to play as fast as her.
Also, their upbeat stuff is great too like Rising, or Edge of the World. Above the Black Sea and Under the Red Sky are great for like a Dio Black Sabbath feel.

The concert itself was inhibited by Japan’s ruthless Covid rules- half capacity, no shouting or screaming, only clapping. Regardless, the performance in this song was FREAKING AWESOME!!! Another great reaction! This is my fav when it comes to the contrast of solos. Miyako soothes you after Midori rips your face off! I've seen it in the other comments. You've only begun to see what Miyako can do. Guitar is her second instrument. She's primarily a highly skilled concert pianist. I've seen the suggestions for "Swan Song". That's a good one, but make sure you find the version with Miyako's Chopin Etude intro. Or you could go with "Empty Daydream" where she rips some piano AND sings! Watching for the next one!
Second that. Miyako is a professional-level classical concert pianist, and was headed for a career in classical music, before picking up the guitar. If you want to see what she can do on the piano, watch “Swan Song” WITH the prelude, which is Chopin’s “Revolutionary Etude”. Miyako wrote “Swan Song” using elements from several classical pieces including the Etude. Lovebites prove that you don't need multiple tattoos and piercings, need to wear ragged jeans and T-shirts, no need to gurn while soloing or have drug or alcohol problems to play metal. They have proved that you can look like models on the catwalk and still play face melting metal. I would put them up against any male metal band and I think they would probably slay the opposition with their technical ability, songwriting skills and flawless live performances. Very sad to see Miho leave, I wish har all the best, I just hope they can find a bass player who will sit the pocket Haruna. Miho is a very, very hard act to follow.

Yeah guys they've got that effect on you when you see them. I know by my self I already sow them twice in Wacken Germany 2018th and in UK 2019th. Hope they comeback soon and continue to make that amazing music. If you want more stuff like this check the songs Awakening/Hammer of wrath and Addicted. And i wish you some day to see them live ( ofcourse Miho is not gonna be there, but hopefully they can find some good bassist) to continue to make this fantastic music. For 5 years like band they created around 50 songs and believe me none of them is bad. Miyako's biggest solo moment on guitar is probably in Edge of the World. She also has epic classical piano intros on Swan Song (there are clips of Swan Song on CZcams both with and without the piano intro, but even if you pick the wrong one, it also has a piano outro, so you'll still be able to see her thrash the keys) and Endless Daydream.
Miyako is more of a blues-style and experimental guitarist, after the likes of Gary Moore, Ritchie Blackmore, and Eddie Van Halen, so if bluesy and soulful solos are your thing, she is definitely your girl! If fast, thrashy solos are more your speed, though, Midori is probably the one you want! She's classically trained and plays in the vein of Yngwie Malmsteen. Of the two, Miyako is the more well-rounded musician (she plays guitar, piano, bass, drums, and sings), but Midori is the faster, tighter, more technical *guitarist*. I won't go so far as to say she is better than Miyako, since they play different styles, and they are both virtuosos and about equal in their own styles. But she is the faster and cleaner of the two, with the more classical technique.
There's funny story about Midori and Miyako guitar playing. From Midori, Haruna and Asami interviews while promoting Battle Against Damnation. It was decided from the beginning that Midori would handle technical shredding, fast and punchy solos while Miyako in charge of melodic solos. So, when Miyako played a fast phrase, Midori said, "Do I have to go beyond that? Please forgive me." 🤣🤣🤣 Miyako could do faster solos but that means Midori would have to be more faster and she's fine with that

Bassist is Miho. This is one of her songs, and so was the last one you watched (Thunder Vengeance). She's (was) the thrasher of the band.
Guys you need to check songs like Edge of the world or Empty Daydream, in this songs your mind will be blown away with Miyako
The Song Structure wise remind me of Iron Bound by Overkill with the slow part in the middle. Awesome. Miyako seem's to have the Evil Genius Attitude that is not a bad thing. Quite the opposite, Pure Genius.
Winds of transvalnia is the most thrash song from lovebites.
Its brutal and so intense.
we have to overcome the deepest sadness about Miho, the founder and the ex-leader of lovebites.
So I felt the same when I discovered these ladies last november, since been listening almost nothing but Lovebites. I am an old fan of Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Testament etc. I even hear keys on that trashy middle section that reminds me of Deep Purple.. Miyako has stated that this solo is a dedicated to Gary Moore, or so I have read somewhere. My suggest to you my favourites: Awakening/The Hammer of Wrath live in Tokyo 2020, Above the Black Sea live in Wacken 2018, Edge of the World live 2020 and Under the Red Sky live 2019, these you can just start to... 🤘🏻
"Break The Wall" is my favorite also. Also, check out LIVE "Raise Some Hell" and "Hammer of Wrath" from that same concert at Zepp DiverCity in Tokyo. Their non-live produced videos are great also, check out "Shadowmaker", "Glory To The World" and "Winds of Transylvania". The produced videos are more progressive power metal than thrash but GREAT!

Seen them live in Edinburgh on the UK tour with Dragon Force I was on medication for 6 weeks after it even the guitars and drums get sent away for therapy after each gig.
Asami has great crowd control. When she was shushing the crowd it is because they were of time. She was getting the crowd back on beat.
