This Japan only games reminds me of the bootleg games that I used to trade in the "tianguis" (kind of a flea market) during the 90s. We used to brute force our way to the japanese menus, lol.
Honestly, the only game I’ll be checking out is Super R-Type. Haven’t played that since the mid 90s. Total nostalgia because I had a blast with that game.

As far as I Know, there's no translation of Sugoi Hebereke yet (and the game was on JP NSO on 2020.)
I had no idea there was a follow up to Wrecking Crew.

"JAPAN EXCLUSIVE" this is a phrase that probably means: "Only released in JAPAN due to cultural differences localization would be impossible or weak sales". LOL
They get some neat stuff. Someday I want to learn to read it. May never get around to it but it is something I've wanted to do for years. Still not my top priority.

I'm OK with the "rental" service for these old games. 8 bit & 16 bit era roms are so easy to find and emulate, so whatever. These are just a bonus.
How can I get the Japanese versions of the online
Extremely easy. Create a second account set in Japanese. There’s guides out there to select which options you’ll need. Then go to the store with your Japanese profile, download all the stuffs, and start the Japanese versions of the apps using your main account (don’t use the Japanese profile). I love that I can play and see the differences on games like Mario Kart on the snes and gba Japanese versions. I’ll also play some of the jrpgs there and N64 has a few cool extra Japan exclusive games not on the US version.
I can't wait to crack open the switch and put every single SNES and NES, and Genesis, and N64 game..and Game Boy and Game Boy Advance game I ever would want to play once their next system comes out. This NSO service has been such a scam that we all know is a scam but pay for for some reason.
Yeah, Japan is JUST getting Battletoads in Battlemaniacs, we got it like two months ago or something.

I'm glad they at least put some games on north america they could have easily not bothered. Panel De Pon is something i play regularly on it. I hope the next system has all regions available to everyone alot easier.
They did literally 2 months ago with 2 Rareware games, they’ve been mostly supporting everything (besides Genesis) at least once a month for the past 28 months

@@green929392 Create multiple accounts or just switch your account region for a bit to grab the Japanese apps (since there’s no Euro/PAL exclusives)
Whats a better buy? A switch, or a 2DS XL/3DS XL and mod it?

Depends on what you want out of a system. Seems like you own neither of the systems. 3DS XL has better battery life and a modded one can get you so many things, and a vast library including DS stuff.
Now if you want to play full games and stuff then Switch is best. You’ll have access to the Zelda games and Mario Odyssey. Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom will last you a great while. And $20 a year gives you access to a lot of nes and snes games along with some gb and gbc games. $50 for n64, gba and genesis which I pay for and use as I love the quality on the OLED screen. I like keeping everything on one device so my Switch is my go to. Though I still use my 3DS (unmodded, will get to that soon but I’m still playing through a lot of games).
@@Rypandavgm thanknyou but I have a gaming pc with Batocera and two handhelds with batocera so I'm just trying to decide between 3ds xl or a switch. Never played either. I'm sure the screen on the switch is nice but maybe the 3ds' screen is too ugly to play on? But you can mod it for free and get all the games so that's nice but the switch really does have some amazing games

I'm considering it as it's free to mod and I don't like to play DS games with a single screen. Not sure if I'll like the 3d on the 3ds. Never seen one in person. Nor the switch for that matter lol
I guess we(Japan) will get へべれけ at a later date as we did battletoads. Though another RPG is always good.

That game looks like that SUPER DUPER expensive Super Famicom game that looks like a ripoff of Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past... but has more of a Western theme. That might be fun to stream.

That isn’t a coincidence. Marvelous is the first game by one of Zelda’s main directors (Eiji Aonuma). And it’s really, really good. A fantranslation is available.
