Fantastic video - just what I wanted to know! The things you described and show are exactly what I want to use it for, for exactly the reasons you mentioned - trying to do it in Final Cut Pro takes so long and it is a real pain! You've helped me make up my mind - thank you!
You are so right. These are the reasons for picking ScreenFlow before FCP. I got both and prefer ScreenFlow for most occasions as it’s quicker and easier BUT, FCP can do a lot more to be honest.
This is very true. The render times aren't terrible for me, but it's certainly slower than my iPad Pro (using a 2015 MacBook Pro). If you really want a good time, turn on the motion blur option and your render time turns into like 1 hour per minute.
Those details of how to record on a higher quality external source and bringing into ScreenFlow for editing are actually SUPER important. and the only reason why I was watching the video in the first place. Disappointment, again...

I like the falling transition outro! I’ll “borrow” it. :)
OMG, actually what I'm looking for Thank you for such a great video! now I can come out almost every day with a video channel now 😀
谢谢你! 讲解很细致,对小白很友好.
Screenflow records my stereo source as MONO in Screenflow... how do I fix this issue?
The render times on Screenflow kill me. I end up taking my screen recording and pushing it over to my iPad in LumaFusion. It renders so much faster.
