I remember watching this film. The cinematography was brilliant. The colours in the film were looking real, not edited.
My favourite shark movies:
1. Jaws
2. Open water
3. The reef
4. The shallows
and some of them based on true events, at that.
The shark was pissing me off the whole movie. “GO EAT YOUR F**** WHAAALLLEE !!!” 😂
She's timing the Great White at its normal cruise speed of around 5 mph. When chasing down prey, that speed goes up to 30 mph.
That thing would have breached her sorry ass at 30mph like nothin. THe movie is hilarious. Plus it's the tropics. They rarely venture down there, water too warm.

When i was a kid i used to watch Deep Blue Sea my fav shark movie but after that in 2016 shallows changed my opinion that its one of best shark movies after deep blue sea

I'm a 44 year old Aussie chic who still has all her limbs🤷🏻♀️. I've been swimming where sharks and crocs have been seen shit tons of times, including near an old abattoir pipe that once fed offal and other unedibles into the water and attracted crocs and sharks which both species still stick close to. You could hear the crocs crashing around in the trees and bushes on a little islet close to shore.
Been camping HEAPS of times where crocs dwell. You're more likely to die in a car accident on the way home than being attacked by either. Especially a shark.
I, like most Aussies, love the hell out of our wildlife but respect their boundaries and practice vigilance when in their territory. I'm not keen on becoming a nominee for a Darwin award so keep my distance when in their presence.

@@nelliesilvers1210 I live 5 mins from Huntington Beach. People are more afraid of getting stung by stingrays there then getting attacked by a shark. They may come investigate if you splash around and make a bunch of attention, but they'll never attack you. The chances of it happening are little to none.

@alexmorenocalado3881 No. It's not based on a true story. They're probably mixed up with The Reef which is. A guy actually helps his 2 mates escape the shark by offering himself up to it by swimming away and attracting the shark to him, letting his mates make a break for it.
Shallow Water definitely isn't based on true events though.
