It was also going to be used in the movie The Magic Christian. Of course he knew it would be a hit, but he didn't need it for the Beatles.
Not the Beatles - this is a mixture of John and George's acoustic demo and Billy J. Kramer & The Dakotas number one single. The Beatles never recorded this song as a band.

I wonder if Billy J just dubbed his voice over John's original keeping the Beatles backing tracks, slowing it down a bit. Interesting!
Billy J Kramer & Dakotas done it actually better & was a No.1 & the Beatles done it only on the album. Billy J had a slightly higher key & produced by George Martin. @@davidbarry9690 SORRY JOHN LENNON HAD A BAND NAMED THE QUARRY MEN BROTHER PAUL JOINTHAR AND THAT BROUGHT GEORGE HARRISON RINGO CAME LATER BROTHER JOHN LENNON WAS THE LEADER
Ringo loved to act and I think he was pretty good. George was a brilliant comic. Several scenes in HDN--scornfully teaching their roadie how to shave with cream on the mirror & rolling his eyes at John in the tub, going into the "teen influencers" office and dealing jives and jibes in the coolest possible manner until the wildly irate manager gives him the boot for being cheeky--well. That's George at his most natural. He was always up to pranks, as was John (before the religion thing), and Ringo was hilarious on occasion. On the movies, none of them were terrific at memorizing scripts, but improvising worked out well. Dick Lester, director of HDN and Help!, said that of the four, Paul was rather wooden.
This is the song George Martin wanted them to use it was written by a professional song writer and George said this would be there first big hit none of the beetles wanted there first hit to be one that they hadn't written so the told Martin they wanted to do a Lennon McCartney song they where young and inexperienced but George said if they could come up with something as good he would agree John already had please please me but it was a balance so they used the tempo change things around a bit recorded it and Martin came out of the control room and said lads you have your hit.

One of only about half a dozen decent covers of Beatle songs. Cliff Bennet, Got to Get You Into my Life, Stones, I Wanna Be Your Man, Joe Cocker, A Little help from My Friends and a couple of others.
Funny that, being a lifelong Beatles fan, I had never heard this song done by them. Are you sure it IS them?
I think they took the vocals from John's demo and mixed the Billy J Kramer music together.
@@mysterymac38 is correct.
Yup
Beatles all the way -demo performance.
@@mysterymac38 Damn I listened with scrutiny. Although there are differences - extra guitar at the end, slightly different opening guitar strums - the drums are identical. The ending also identical. Sped up a little. So I guess you guys are right that it's Billy J Kramer's version. I wonder if Billy J just dubbed his voice over John's original keeping the Beatles backing tracks, slowing it down a bit. Interesting!
Questo video è un falso: in realtà è una scena del film "A Hard Day's Night" e John canta "If I Fell"
HERE IN BRAZIL, THAT MOVIE CALLS ' OS REIS DO YEAH YEAH YEAH '
@@osfabulososbeatles9103 Here in Italy: Tutti per Uno
Here in spain: Noche de un dia duro
Esas imágenes son de la canción If I fell de la película a hard Days night
The video is not the Beatles singing Bad to Me. They are singing a different song.
Billy J Kramer & Dakotas done it actually better & was a No.1 & the Beatles done it only on the album. Billy J had a slightly higher key & produced by George Martin. Billy J was a Merseyside mate & got given a few songs by the Fabs & successful but come Rubber Soul all these Merseyside bands disappeared back to the Cavern & Clubs circuit.
Isn't this Billy J Kramer? Not the beatles. I was a teen then and UT sounds like Billy J Kramer and the Dakotas
The Beatles wrote the song for Billy J. Kramer. This is the demo record made by the Beatles.
I don't understand why you play the song "Bad to Me" when the Beatles in this clip are singing another song. This seems deceptive to me.
JOHN LENNON WAS IS STILL THE LEADER OF THE BEATLES
I BELIEVE THIS WITH MY WHOLE HEART ♥ THANK-YOU AND I HOPE YOU HAD A GREAT CHRISTMAS PLEASE
THANK-YOU BUT JOHN LENNON IS THE ONLY LEADER OF THE BEATLES IM SORRY IF YOU DONT AGREE 👍
WELL GOD BLESS YOU I FEEL THE SAME JOHN LENNON WILL ALWAYS BE THE HEAD OF THE BEATLES MAY JOHN LENNON REST IN PEACE ✌
No Paul is
@@davidbarry9690 SORRY JOHN LENNON HAD A BAND NAMED THE QUARRY MEN BROTHER PAUL JOINTHAR AND THAT BROUGHT GEORGE HARRISON RINGO CAME LATER BROTHER JOHN LENNON WAS THE LEADER
film is IF I FELL,, ?,, whats the point // ?
With some AI, you could match John's mouth to the words.
i'm so confused
Ringo should have done more films. He's a natural actor. The others no so much. John, for example, was awful.
You're thinking of How Do You Do What You Do To Me. This song Bad To Me was written by John.
I doubt this is ANYTHING even close to The Beatles.
Aren't they actually singing This Boy from Hard Days Night
Don't see much point in this, they were obviously singing another song. TBH, the Billy J. Kramer version was much better, in this case.
THANK YOU
Paul is the leader he's still alive haha
Then why is John singing it? Obvs his voice
Paul literally said in Get Back sessions to John that he had always been the boss
No wonder the Beatles gave it to Billy 🙄
This is a great song for Billy j Kramer's vocals.
Prefer the Billy J Kramer version
Very misleading video. The song you should hear to match the video is If I Fell
For F sakes. The Beatles are singing this song but it's mimed. Note, Paul Mac is playing bass but he's not plugged in.
I hate to say it but billy j kramer did a better cover of this song than john did
Not The Beatles.
A cool little film but...looks lip-synced! George looks disgruntled with the requirements of fame, as ever
Fake
Montaje = fraude.
The music doesn't match the video.
