When Mel Owen returned in 2018 I honestly thought this would pave the way for Steve to return. Even more so when Hunter arrived, constantly referring to his dad. Guess with Hunter now gone and Mel leaving, Steve is gone forever!
Funny thing is I’m watching yesterday’s episode when Phil is just about to tell hunter how his dad died and this pops up on my subscription list. I’m going to watch this first and see how accurate his description is

I remember watching this, I was only 10 years old at the time, while Phil and Steve were doing the car chase I had to go and sit in the dining room as I couldn't watch the crash as it was too scary. Steve may not have been able to get out his side as there was no room but if the other door was stuck he could have smashed the window and climbed out. This was an epic episode and Steve Owen was a great character.

Steve's 6 series G99 VBJ...the car which explodes has a partial plate starting with B505 which you can see as it flips over. Just noticed that after all these years.
