STAR PUZZLE SOLUTION

Here I'm going to show you the Hanayama Star puzzle solution.

The Star puzzle is a level 3 out of 6 on the Hanayama difficulty scale.
The Star puzzle solution is dependent on finding a specific part of the Star piece and lining it up in a specific position on the Snake shell piece.
It can be quite difficult finding the slightly shaven down side but you should be able to spot it eventually.

WOW. Gorgeous guy with a brain! Had this a few months now. When I first got it I separated them twice, but had no idea how I did it. The tricky thing really is discovering which is the shortest piece. It's easier to orientate the ring before looking for the correct arm of the star. Mine looks a different design to yours, no little piece sticking out with a hole in it. My clue was one star arm has file marks on it where it has been filed down, but it would take a forensic expert to spot it!!! I would never ever have worked out a method. I did wonder if one of the star arms was longer than the other but I couldn't tell. Who the hell designed this!! Such precision.

Great tutorial, thanks! I was really debating watching it, because I wanted to figure it out by myself, but... ive spent a decent amount of time on it, and I couldn't figure it out. I think I made the right choice, I never would have known to do that on my own. Really clever puzzle. Thanks!

Hi Wayne. I've no idea what's coming next. With the Cyclone only just being released I imagine it'll be at least a couple of months before the next one.

I can find the shorter one but I can’t put it back together or take it out. I didn’t know how I took it out I was watching TV I was fiddling with it and then I got out somehow and I can’t put it back .can you help me?

Double check the position of everything, the snake piece and the star. If it's really not working, try different ends of the star incase you've got the shorter one mixed up with another short one.

Snake head bottom left. Short side of star up at 11 o'clock, 2 bottom feet in, twist right and down. Lol. Good luck

I don't like such puzzles. I figured out a method on my own pretty quickly and that sides are a bit different, but I was puzzled because it didn't work from the first time, as I didn't realize that the star is not symmetrical. What's the point of such puzzles?

I found that if u just keep shaking it around,it will eventually solve itself.

I have tried to disassemble it many times with no success.But one day I was just walking around and it disassemble.Fortunately it fell in my pocket.
