I love PUP's lyrics so much- i can relate to so many of their songs.

Today while singing this song in the shower, I realized all of PUP's songs would make really good old-school country songs.
they originally started off as a soft band, but after each rehearsal they got louder according to one of their interviews
If you look up Topanga (PUP's old band name) - Oceans and find the full length demo you can hear a country song by them. It's "The Shield" and is the last song on the album.
The whole thing is great though, strongly suggest listening all the way through.
God that bass is so chunky and basically carries this album to land!
