Not in a million years that Bachmann would make a model of the ALC-42 *Mind Blown*
It’s really not surprising that they did it given that they already did the first run of SC-44 Chargers in 2020, on top of their existing partnership with Siemens for the ACS-64.
Have it in HO awsome sound for this unit
Nice! Looks great! While I am not running N scale trains at this time, I may have to consider starting an N scale collection in the near future, but there are several HO scale items I'm picking up first. So I'm probably going to have to wait a bit longer to start an N scale track, at least for now. Anyway It's always fun to see new Bachmann models.

You guys (Bachmann) ever learn to stop making those white gears that split? How many years does it take?......
The materials used for our gears were changed from the aforementioned type a number of years ago. If you have an older model with this issue, please reach out to us with the model information and we'll get back to you with replacement options.

Why would anyone buy the Bachmann one when everyone knows the Kato one will always be better?
Kato is not better at all, there is barely any detail on their models, the sounds aren’t always accurate, and the price is way higher for less realism. At least Bachmann actually has detail on their engines and looks better when it comes to realism.
