Thanks for this video. I enjoyed it and am inspired. (Still a little scared to start my own.) I really appreciated you showing and explaining how to iron the seams. I've heard others talk about ironing them but hadn't quite rasped it till I watched your video.
You're very welcome! Don't be scared to try .. it's just fabric. When I'm starting a new project I usually start with some fabric I got on sale before I try it on my favorite fabric.

Very nice....I really like the colors/patterns you chose! I've always wondered about those fat quarters! lol My sister has made beautiful quilts for 30 yrs or more but I'm the artist. One day I may try my hand at a quilt.....but for now I'll just keep drawing and painting. lol
I wish I could draw!! Several of my family members can draw and I can't even draw a stick figure.
I always iron n Strachan my fabricy0u could cut cut n sew all together cut your linning n batting at the same time you can sew straight Ines or cross n you have sewing your quilt together all at the same time sasy

I am new to quilting and I’ve just hand tied quilts. I’m curious how much does a long arm quilter charge you for your quilts? obviously depends on the size I know that.
it's been a few years since I have one done but the last time it was around $150 for a lap size quilt. That included the batting and the binding.

Hi Karen, what size do you want your quilt to measure? I did a little math and you will need 64 squares if you want it to measure around 34" x 34". That's eight rows across and eight down for a total of 64.

Is it possible to make a smaller quilt with 5 fat quarters instead of 6? How many rows and columns would you suggest?
Yes, if you use 5 Fat Quarters just make it one row shorter. You'll have 20 blocks instead of 24. Four blocks across and five blocks down for a total of 20.
