    That point deform node blew me away! I was thinking you need a super convoluted setup to transfer deformation data back to your original mesh, but it's just one node! Amazing!

    I seriously appreciate your tutorials and all the effort you are putting into then, they are filled with useful information that you are delivering in an outstanding way...
    Being a bit greedy, I just wish they weren't that far apart, it looks like you are planning a long series, which is amazing, but any chance you could release them in shorter periods?

      Hi! We're looking to release them more often. We have another series that we're working on, which is going to be released more or less all at once. I understand the frustration with the slower release schedule, but it should speed up over the following weeks. Thank you for the support❤️

    These are great! I’m enjoying them as well as your hair changes throughout time.
    Question: I’m not a newbie to simulation. C4D, Blender Flip fluids, etc.
    the vellum network seemed to make more sense since because the important input fields have been promoted. But inside it’s just as weird as the pop network. It seems weird because it seems like information is flowing up the node network or in seemingly random places for things like collision. For instance how can a collision be after the solver node? Doesn’t the solver need to take that into account?
    Clearly there is logic to it, I just don’t see it (which is not surprising). Do I need to re-watch or is there another video that explains in more depth?

    Great tutorial, very helpful, am coming from a background of cinema 4d and real flow, slowly learning Houdini trying to understand it, can you make more Tutorials about grains using vellum grains, like I want to make like sand man rising from a pile of sand and have no idea how to do it, eg, we have a pile of sand sitting there then in the middle something starts to form and sand shaped figure rises from the sand, just like sand man from spider man, it would be helpful
    I also want to know how to create 2 different colors for grains like how can I project an image from my video on top on grains if I wanted to seamlessly blend it in my live action plate, and have a different color for the inside grains saw a guy on CZcams do it but he doesn’t have a tutorial for it… ❤❤❤ sorry for the long comment

    Fantastic tutorial as always, I am trying to get a vellum grain sim to interact with a vellum fluid using the vellum source method demonstrated in this video, I get this error - 'the number of points in the geometry and the constraints do not match' is there anyone who can explain this? even when I match the constarint conditions the error persists. Thanks in advance!

    Not to be going over potentially old ground, but you can create a second "vellumcloth" (Vellum Configure Cloth) and adjust the "Constraint Type" at the top to either "Struts" or "Tetrahedral Stretch" depending on the desired effect, as a lot of nodes are the same nodes with different toggles activated for those who prefer to pick a correctly named node? (apologies if it was mentioned already!)

    Hi Guys! Is there a way to import also the collision in the Vellum Source node (inside the Solver). Let's say I want to drop an object into a box filled with Vellum Fluid for example :)

    Hi, anyone who could help me explain this problem in this tutorial would be greatly appreciated, here it is:
    For the Fluid sim, he put 'viscosity' in the 'attrbnoise' node, but there is no 'viscosity' attribute in the node before ('vellum fluid' node), it doesn't make sense to me how Houdini is able to recognise this Attribute and able to simulate its properties since it's not a universal attribute like @pscale (I couldn't find 'viscosity' as a attribute in the Houdini Attribute document).
    It would make more sense to me if 'attrbnoise' node is placed after the Vellumsolver since the solver has the parameter for viscosity.
    Regardless of my current problem, big thanks Nine Between for the great contribution of my learning of Houdini. Keep on with the excellent tutorials.

      I think I might have solved this minutes after posting this, is it because the attribute can then be reference by the first vellumsolver1 originally for 'vellumtetrahedral' Sim? Please correct me if I'm wrong.
      I apologise if this is correct, these things happens sometimes.

    You said that we should convert our geometry into triangle while using vellum right? but later you apply a vellum fluid on a sphere without remesh mode ???? I am confused

      Hey, so the triangle comment only applies when we're simulating the triangulated geometry (cloth/ tetrahedrals). In the case of the vellum fluid, we are converting the geometry to points in the same way that we would with vellum grains. In other words, we're using the geometry as a source volume to generate points.
